Dems really picked the wrong horse

Teflon Don

I'm back baby
I still can’t understand why with all of the candidates the democrat party had to choose from why the establishment was fixated on Biden.

He has so many flaws. The groping. The obvious mental decline which they will not be able to hide. Remember when Hillary collapsed and then she didn’t spend a lot of time on the campaign trail? That is what cost her Michigan and Wisconsin.

Say what you want about Trump but he is indefatigable. Biden will not be able to hang with him. And his gaffes will catch up with him. Hell he can’t even remember Obama’s name some times

The only thing I can think of is that the democrat party is so scared shitless of Trump making inroads with black voters that they believe Biden is their only backstop with that group.

Personally I think it is a bad bet. They should have gone with Bernie

I did not know it was over. The fact is lots of Dems think a middle road Dem has the best shot at beating daffy. that is why he got so many endorsements.
Biden has a history of gaffes. They are not lies like trump does, just harmless spoonerisms. Trump cannot accuse Biden of mistakes because he has them by the truckload.
Bernie and Biden are essentially tied.

Sorry to agree w/ you so much, but considering the field that they started with, I do find myself pretty shocked that Biden prevailed. And he was the choice of the establishment, who seem to get their way much more often than not.

I have no idea how they arrived at that. There were stronger candidates, without a doubt. I get it when it came down to just he & Bernie. Sanders would have genuinely hurt the party not just in the head-to-head, but in all of the other races, as well. He would have redefined the party in a negative way (I know that you think they're socialist regardless, but he would have taken them much further left).

The only advantage Biden might have against Trump is his general disposition. Basically, he's a pretty decent guy, and independents who might be sick of the new-drama-every-day bluster of the Trump admin might be attracted to that. I don't have a lot of hope in that, though. I think Trump probably breezes in this one.

I mentioned to Grind, but Biden's candidacy reminds me a lot of Dole's in '96.

he lied about plagiarism

He lied about Nelson Mandela

Those are just off the top of my head - he has been caught lying plenty

Maybe the calculation is that they thought they were going to lose no matter what but with Biden they can protect down ballot races.

They had least worse options

They also had four years. As for Biden being like Dole, I say Romney but Dole is a good choice.

If I take my partisanship out of it, the cognitive decline is what is so striking. These are just gaffes of the past. He garbles sentences and can’t even remember Obama. Those who defend it or say “yeah but Trump” are fools.

I think it is cruel to put him through this. And I am deadly serious

Almost anybody is better than Raving Lunatic Trump for president.

The Alt Right keeps accusing Biden of everything that trump is plainly guilty of. Next they will accuse Biden of wearing orange bronzer.

i posted this before but watch this video:

maybe start at 3:30ish

His premise is that biden is immensly controlable for special interest groups by the deep state and DNC establishment. He's the perfect puppet.

Watch the vid, tucker nails it

their top candidates are two OLD, WHITE, SOCIALISTIC, RICH guys.

Well candidates for President do skew older than the population, so no surprise there. Neither are very rich compared to other politicians. And of course Sanders is Jewish, so a minority there.

No one ever said that white men should not be President, just they should not be the only ones who are President. The Democrats have nominated a black, and a woman. The Republicans have still not even nominated a Catholic.

While they had loads running, none of them were electable. The establishment was forced to recruit him warts and all.

Losing the black voting margin certainly concerns them but they had no counter and again he was the best they had.
They badly mismanaged the farm system and its caught ip to them. Perhaps fatally. They let the flakes be flakes.

Disagreed on Bernie, but the Democrats are too far Left to pick a decent horse which most Americans can back.
