NO, it is North Florida. DeSantis is the governor of that part of the state as well, not just the Gulf Coast. Nothing from you on the fact that Florida's poverty rate is worse than California's. Guess that doesn't fit the narrative, does it? Oops.

Monterrey Peninsula is the only enclave in California we’ll ever return to. We’ll be back to the Florida west coast though. Nice there.

California leads the nation in poverty among its residents, according to new Census Bureau data released Tuesday.

An average 6 million Californians had incomes below poverty levels between 2018 and 2020, the highest count in the U.S., according to the bureau’s Supplemental Poverty Measure.

This relatively new survey by the Census Bureau dates to 2009, and is adjusted for the varying cost of living among the states.

The bureau’s three-year poverty metric includes government assistance programs as part of a household’s income, along with affordability factors, which are key reasons why high-cost California is often ranked at the bottom.

Just over 15% of California residents were impoverished in 2018-20, the second-highest poverty rate among the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nationally, 36.5 million Americans lived in poverty or 11.2% of the population.

Washington, D.C. had the highest poverty rate by population at 16.5%.

The census noted that stimulus payments helped 11.7 million individuals avoid poverty status. Expanded unemployment benefits cut 5.5 million from the poverty ranks.

Mother grew up in Madison, FL. A real dump of a place. Big city for them was Valdosta, GA. Much of family lives in Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce. Springbreaked in Pensacola, Ft. Walton Beach and Destin more times than I can count when I was young and reckless.
First time on Florida west coast. Nice there.

So DeSantis isn't the governor there? He's just the governor of anything south and west of The Villages? I thought he was the Governor of the whole state. My bad. CRT is not being taught in schools. It is a pretext to ban books. That's Nazi shit. And you support the guy. I don't get it.
