Yes, he did let off of the authoritarian policies sooner than many other Governors did, but that doesn't magically make those initial polices of his disappear. Those things all happened, whether you like it or not. Trump didn't do any of those things, but DeSaster DID. It's just the truth of the matter.

DeSaster has been plotting a Presidential run since AT THE VERY LEAST December 2021 (likely sooner), and continued to be dishonest about it while running a shadow campaign under the guise of a "book tour" (as state law at the time didn't allow him to run an actual campaign).
