WTF are you ranting about? Socialism doesn't work as a stand alone system. The Chinese are the only socialist economy which, out of necessity, has inched into capitalism. Wealth and freedom are like narcotics. Once given, people don't want to lose them. The fucking Chinese are wrestling with those issues now.
In the US, the best system seems to be a constitutional federal republic fueled by a capitalist economy with a socialist safety net for the young, elderly and infirm.
Both the Democrats and the Party of Trump are pushing our nation toward an authoritarian regime. I suspect most Americans won't go for it.
