Been through this too many times. I don't rate the Lions this year. They had a good last half of the season last season...that doesn't equate to a division title this season in fact it means nothing.

I can't read many posts on this thread,
but I have to imagine that our Detroit Lions fans
are still reveling over that 1957 NFL Championship.

As I recall, Bobby Layne was something that day.
I loved those simple Honolulu Blue and Silver uniforms back then.
They even looked good in black and white.
All the modern uniforms look like costumes.

Did anybody else here watch that game?
I had recently turned eleven so I definitely remember watching it.

You recall wrong. Layne broke his ankle earlier in the season, Tobin Rote played QB that game.

I stand corrected, than.
Thank you, Lightbringer.

I do remember a few things.

Wasn't there a touchdown scored from field goal formation in that game,
or was that a different one against the Cleveland Browns?

Also, the year before, I think that the Lions lost a special tie-breaker playoff game against the Bears
to face the Giants in the NFL title game.

As I recall, there were several fights in that game,
and both teams wore their blue jerseys.

Since the Bears' blue was much darker,
it was no problem on black and white television.

1) The Lions will finish 7-10 or 8-9.
2) They will finish in third place.
3) They will not make the playoffs.

If these things happen then I get to send you a picture you will use as your avatar for a month AND you will make your signature whatever I tell you to make it.

If these things do not happen you get to pick my avatar and signature for a month and it doesn't have to be football related, it can be anything.
