Devout CATHOLICS Bishop Biden & Pope Pelosi - have Dem voters found religion?

A false dilemma (or sometimes called false dichotomy is a type of in which a statement falsely claims an "either/or" situation, when in fact there is at least one additional logically valid option

Since there is no additional logically valid option, you lose. :D

So they are hypocrites, and not "devout Catholics." :D

Did Brett Kavanaugh say he's a "devout Catholic?"

Read it and weep, Leggiecrite. He holds the SAME position as Biden and Pelosi. :D

I wouldn’t under any circumstances condone an abortion in my private life,” he told the authors. “But that has nothing to do with whether or not those who have different views are entitled to have them and are entitled to be protected in their exercise of them. That’s my job in applying and interpreting the Constitution.”

Okay, you got me there. :rofl2:

So you admit that Brett Kavanaugh didn't say he's a "devout Catholic." :D

Wrong. A logically valid option is supporting abortion in some circumstances such as rape or incest, for example.

That's not the teaching of the Catholic Church, so, no. :nono:

The Church teaches that victims of rape deserve immediate medical, emotional and spiritual care. The Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services (#36) states that Catholic healthcare providers have a duty to provide this care and to prevent the contraction of disease or the conception of a child. However, if a child is conceived in a pregnancy caused by rape, then this child is just as innocent and precious as the woman who was victimized and he or she should not be killed because of the actions of the rapist. The Church teaches that through mercy and love, a non-violent solution for both mother and child is far superior to helping a victim of violence (the raped woman) commit violence against her own child through abortion.

I never said it was church teaching. I said Irish was using the fallacy of false choice, and it is.

I said Irish was using the fallacy of false choice, and it is.

No, because the specific self-proclaimed "Catholics" in question have opted for a third choice that is also a logically invalid option, given their own professions of faith. Of course, they could be insincere. :D

Is that a fact?

It's for the best that you swim in plus-size T-shirts, I suppose. God knows what the sight of you in a bikini would do to innocent witnesses. :D

I have to admit it's hugely entertaining to see you describe me as fat. And as far as your bikini remark, modesty forbids me to brag about what "innocent witnesses" say. :D

I'm sure lots of people who have never seen you will pretend to believe your denials... :D
