I am okay with a bias toward liberty, I am not good with liberty over life no matter what.

If I feel I am at liberty to park by the beach (when there is a spot 500 feet away), I am not willing to give up my life to attain that liberty.

blacks/slaves were not considered people, at that time. they were property, thus they had no rights. I get that it was wrong, but judging them by our current standards is wrong.

if someone can't be trusted in public, with a weapon, then they can't be trusted in public. This was, yet again, another failure of government, yet you wish to now infringe on the rights of 400 million Americans who did nothing. that makes you mentally ill.

I am not judging him, I am simply pointing out he did not believe in liberty at all costs. His life is riddled with compromises in liberty that he made. Anyone who lives to the age of majority's life is.
