dude...pull your head out of the sand. numerous people have claimed that allowing gays to marry would raise the divorce rate and ruin the sanctity of marriage.

Definition of SANCTITY
1: holiness of life and character : godliness
2a : the quality or state of being holy or sacred : inviolability

The "sanctity" of marriage isnt measured by the divorce rate.

fact is....you didn't blame gay marriage here. you can't show how gay marriage will ruin the sanctity of marriage.

Well, that would be in the perceptions of those who view marriage as a holy bond between a man and a woman. As the foundation of the nuclear family. Men and women becoming husbands and wives, fathers and mothers to the children they bring into the world. Blessed by god. Those perceptions, combined with their perceptions regarding two people of the same sex engaged in sexual relations. "Ruin" might be an exaggeration. Government officials down at the city hall, dressed as priest, handing out tequilla shots and pork rinds wouldnt necessarily "ruin" the sanctity of holy communion but it does kind of make a mockery of it.
