And to your first paragraph. You’re a Trump supporter yet we accumulated massive debt under his watch. And Trump supporters would yell #MAGA when the stock market went up but in reality the biggest beneficiaries are the wealthy which drives inequality.

You eliminate tariffs by implementing a bunch of them? I don’t follow that logic. To me that’s like saying I’m going to pass a big tax increase so I can cut taxes at some point in the future.

What i’m honestly curious is if say Hillary has implemented these would people on the right be supporting them like this and would those on the left have found religion on free trade like they did.

I don't like your tariffs on my goods.......I raise my tariffs on your goods and say "hey, I'm willing to reduce mine if you reduce yours"........do you follow that logic?.......

What I follow is the tariffs we implemented were taxes on American consumers and businesses. (If I liked higher taxes I would be a liberal). Additionally, they slowed our economic growth. So those are two major negatives to me.

What do you believe we gained from them?

/shrugs....except they really weren't......perhaps if they had been in place for a few years the Chinese would have gradually raised their prices to accomplish that, but they weren't.......did the price of your Chinese made coffee pot double?......unlikely, because you bought the cheaper Korean one instead.......no tariffs there......
