Or is everything about a power-grab and just any bullshit you can make up along the way to make that happen? Do you really want to sink your brand this much? By many accounts, you'd think I should vote conservative. I'm Christian, pro-life, not a fan of the left letting gender dysphoria illnesses be catered to rather than treated properly, and believe in certain amounts of gun freedom beyond what you'd get from the average liberal. Unfortunately, you Republicans are so phony and never stick to your own standards anymore that I vote Democrat. You aren't even definable as conservative so much anymore. Bunch of hypocritical phonies. Watch your backs, this court justice issue is so much more volatile than you realize. Please don't screw up so bad that you cause an uprising or the left gets too much unchecked power. Both sides kind of suck but they work well enough in a good enough balance.

No, not like me. I would always take the high road until I was unable. I'd hold anyone to a ruling of conduct, especially if it was their own ruling. I won't let people walk all over me to maintain a high road standard though and anyone short of a saint, or virtuous monk would do the same. It seems some think Dems should take this hypocrisy lying down but that would be a betrayal of who they serve or represent.

Every "organized group" has its hypocrites. Legal, medical, scholars, Black, White, nationalities, electricians,

Conservative values have pretty much been abandoned in the era of Trump, nearly ever principle they said were the hallmarks of conservatism has been pretty much forgotten, this is not the party of Reagan, far from it

The term "right winger" and "Republican" are not synonymous. I'm a Right Winger but not a Republican. I lean heavily Libertarian except where it comes to national security and international relations, which used to be very Republican. Nowadays, not so much.

Those values have been eroding for years. Trump is the result of a decaying Republican party, not the cause of it.

Modern Conservatism is literally built on a tradition of opposing Democracy. I'm sure there are some Conservatives who honestly believe in things like small government, but the majority are following in their ideological tradition.
