Do Not Listen To Tucker Carlson. Pure Hatred.

His M.O. is to spread hatred.

Extreme right wing pundits gain viewership by being provocative, in order to sell advertising.

It is a simple formula. Say things that make people angry, hit them with advertising. It works. Products are sold. Money is made.

Viewers are told that the country is in terrible condition, falling apart, white life is unbearable, doomed, and that liberals are to blame for all of these problems (whether they are actual problems or contrived matters little.)

The overall goal is not to make people angry. That is merely the necessary method used to earn the profits, an unfortunate byproduct of the goal of making lots of money. The most controversial talking heads on the right, such as TC, are all very rich because of it.

Regardless of that, the reality is that there are a lot of very angry people in the USA, and they are angry at liberals. It is impossible for an ordinary liberal to conduct a rational conversation with people like that. Thus, it is pointless to try. Anyone who does generally receives an outburst of vehemence, simply for stating their own view, which they are entitled to in America.

Life is so much nicer without that kind of negative energy.

Extremism should be marginalized, not encouraged. Do not listen to Tucker Carlson. It is a very bad habit.

Tucker comes across as a very angry person in general for whatever the reason; perhaps he had a lousy childhood or was picked on in high school as a teen. Either way it appears to be very evident.

Hello Dutch,

Got an anecdote about Country Joe.

A friend of mine was in a local band. They were supposed to open for Country Joe at an outdoor festival. Everybody gathered. LOTS of people. College town. Springtime. Easily over a thousand people, probably several thousand. Groovy chicks, long hair.

The promoters had some bad technical difficulties. The show got delayed. They put on a rinky dink sound system and played some recorded music, but the partying crowd easily drowned out the music. Some people got bored and left. Every once in a while the music would stop and an announcement would be made to hang around, they were going to solve their issues, be patient, etc. The weather was great. People were having a good time anyway and they wanted to hear Joe. It got dark, the hours ticked by.

Finally, they got the big sound system fixed. Hooray!

By that time, it was too late for an opening act, so they said my buddy's band would play AFTER country Joe. That didn't make them happy to be following such a big name act. They were pretty nervous their mostly original music would not be received well by the crowd.

Turned out, they needn't have worried at all about that.

It was after 2AM when Joe finished his performance and then almost everybody left.

My buddy's band still played, but the crowd had been reduced to hardly anything. Just a few friends, some drunks and the festival people. Oh well. All that concern over nothing. They still put on a good show. Too bad almost nobody heard it.

Good to see you post again.

I would not at all be surprised if you're right about Tucker.

Most people could use a little counseling but it's so expensive they don't normally get any.

Trump and Tucker could both easily afford it, and benefit greatly from it, but have egos too big to let them.

I finally agree with a portion of the drivel that rolls off yer keyboard: Darlin'. I always try ta use me ammo as efficiently as possible. Talkin' 'bout real ammo: my dear, (lead), propelled by actual gun powder inside a brass cartridge. Carry on now...

Sure thing there, Bubba Lee, sure thing.

Thanks! Good story. Did they ever do much with their band?

Fixin'-to-Die rag is my favorite Country Joe song, this is my second:

He's angry for a couple hours so he can make $30M bucks off suckers. That said, I keep praying for a stroke everytime I see his veins bulge.

He/She/Whatever is not right about Tucker, he is one of the best adjusted people around..... very few people could deal with the shit he is forced to deal with and do it so well.

Anyone who has still an open mind and a mind that functions and wonders about this claim that Tucker is a hater should listen to him on M Kelly....this is one awesome dude.

Very true. That was one impressive interview. I also have always liked Megyn Kelly, especially when she had the hair ta get into Trump's face.

Tucker does not watch any TV, he is not on any social media and never looks at it, he does not look at news online....he gets his all of his news from people he trusts via voice and text and one person at FOXNEWS who gives him a daily brief....this is just stunning.

No wonder he is so well adjusted and so well informed.

Agreed He was my favorite anchor prior to viewing that interview. Very very impressive man.

I also did not know that Megyn got him into FoxNews, and that they are such good friends (She watches him every nite, as do I).

That convo is so special...one of the best that I have had the pleasure to witness this entire year, and I get around.

Yup I agree, thoroughly enjoyable. Two of the top most honorable people in media. Maria Bartaromo, Laura Logan, Sharyl Attkisson, John Stossel, all giants in a field of midgets. Not likely that the Marxists here have the depth ta pop the hood to see that actual person. They are very intolerant with closed minds.

Truer words have never been spoken.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is a stroke waiting to happen; hopefully he's under doctors care so he doesn't vapor lock on the air.

I followed very closely Megyns move to Comcast and correctly predicted that this would never work, and that Comcast execs should have know that it would not work. When it did not work I proclaimed Comcast execs incompetent. But I have almost never watched her till recently. I am increasingly impressed.

Thank you my friend, always a pleasure to come here when you are here as well.

That being said, there are services available from the state for those needing help/counselling at no charge but as you aptly mentioned, there is an apparent ego issue involved here with these two individuals which no doubt would prevent them from reaching out for help. If only they received counselling it might change how they view things from being irrational to rational thoughts. Taking a positive outlook, one can always hope that they are able to put their egos aside and receive the help that they need at some point.
