Largely because of the publicity of police killing Blacks has become more & more exposed.
But, has not actually increased.
Also the Leftist news covers up when Whites are killed by cops. Which makes Blacks feel more oppressed than they actually are.

White-on-white violence is the most prevalent type of violence in the US.

Most rapists are white.

Most murderers are white.

Most serial killers are white.

Most embezzlers are white.

Most corporate criminals are white.

Most insurrectionists are white.

How come no one is doing anything about out of control white people, who are responsible for the majority of crime in the US?

Pretty sure we all know the origins. In fact, it was used as a slur by black people toward other black people to express privilege.

In this case, the councilman was asked about his wife's racist comments on FB. That inspired him to make the comments.

There is no correlation between a possibly hyperbolic statement and never having been an activist.
