Do you respect the military?

Yes, but I don't respect your comment. That comes from a 27 year veteran of the Navy and retired CPO.

Then you have no problem with Trump dissing John McCain, not referencing him as a hero? insulting Gold Star families? referring to decorated military leaders as failures, liars, and idiots?

Actually, I think McCain was a pretty crappy senator, and thought so well before Trump appeared on the scene. McCain isn't much of a hero either. He was rather brave and correct in not accepting a singular repatriation while his fellow POW's didn't get one, but that hardly on its own makes him a "hero." If a "Gold Star family" says something political or stupid publicly, they become fair game. They get no special Right to say what they will while any rebuttal is dismissed because of their status.
There are plenty of decorated military leaders the US has had that were failures, idiots, and or liars. They too get no special status or protection from rebuttal because of that. Arguing they should amounts to an appeal to authority of one sort or another, a logical fallacy.

So another words your respect of the military has politics serving as the common denominator

First you question McCain's actions, then you dismiss the option of saying nothing regarding Gold Star families, and lastly you agree with Trump characterization of the highly decorated military personnel that even Trump praised earlier for their quality of service

No, the military is supposed to be apolitical.

I didn't question his actions as a military officer, but did state he isn't a "hero" in my opinion. I don't dismiss Gold Star families either expressing their opinions but do state that doesn't entitle them to not be attacked for them.
As for the last part of your statement, you moved the goal posts. You have now added that Trump first praised these military personnel before dissing them. That's an additional condition to your original statement. So your claim "(I) agree with Trump" is false based on your adding conditions I never mentioned.

McCain was a scumbag.....and I believe in telling the truth.

We have different definitions of "hero." What he went through as a POW easily makes him a hero to me.

Really, anyone who puts themselves in harm's way to protect my freedoms is a hero, to me. I thought Trump's comments on POW's were despicable. And I also thought Clinton saying he "loathed" the military was the same, for some equal play.

I salute all of those who have served. Honestly, I don't think I could do it. I'm forever grateful that there are those who can.

That is a fake news story that has been disproved you idiot.

What did Obama do about Russia when its missiles were used to shoot down a Malaysian Airliner killing everyone aboard?

What did Obama do about Russia when it invaded and took over the Crimea?

You uneducated low IQ leftist losers really need to just STFU. Four years of this bullshit is beyond merely moronic.

Oh, it’s been disapproved? LMAO that’s pretty funny considering the UK confirmed it. When Russia shut down an airliner, it didn’t kill American soldiers and when Russia invaded Crimea, Obama put strict sanctions on Russia that Trump promised to remove in his campaign you effing dolt. You ill informed right wing schilling.

Obama promised to be more flexible toward Russia, and after all those years of enabling, he finally got a bad situation out of it. Shocking.

He got shot down. He was injured badly and mistreated and tortured for years. He did stay with his fellow captives when his fatherly connections could have gotten him out. He was a fucking hero.

He was a POW and as many of his fellow POW's were equally battered and mistreated he's no standout.

Oh flexible? that was pretty terrible. Flexible is what is required when dealing with other nations.

So to be a hero, there would be no other prisoners. Does that make sense to you? Yeah, he was a standout when he stayed given the opportunity to leave.

To be a hero is to kick ass and take names. It is to do the impossible and succeed. Getting shot down, then captured, and sit out the war as a POW is not heroic in the least.

On a related subject, you do know about McCain being one of the "Keating Five" don't you and his history of corruption and graft in Congress?
