Document confirms US told Russia NATO won’t expand

You dug yourself the hole- you know what to do to get out of it. Otherwise stfu.

Actually, you can shut the fuck up. You're utterly useless unless someone finds some use in tripping around the internet calling the US bad and Palestine blameless for anything, ever.

Infidels ? Apparently so.

Hello, Right Honorable Member for Lunacy!

Poland, Hungary, Czechia, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, and some minor Balkan states all joined NATO after 1991. Ukraine is quite keen to join, and even Finland is considering it. Why?

The question comes in two parts:
(1) Why did they want to join?
(2) Why did NATO let them?

The answer to (1) is fairly obvious. All the named countries had experienced Russian aggression/oppression, some only for decades, others for centuries. After 1991 they had a window of opportunity to guard against it happening again.

(2) is more problematic. Was NATO engaged in a conspiracy to isolate, outflank and attack blameless Russia? What does RT think?

1) Cheap defense and abrogated responsibility
2) Frontline bases for nukes to attack Russia.

It's time to discuss consultancy fees.

Robert Hejzak, director of marketing for the Czech investment-promotion agency Czechinvest, said NATO membership has made a strong contribution to his country's success at attracting foreign investment.

"Things like the accession to NATO or the future accession to the [European Union are] a major reason for investors when they think of political [and] economic stability. It's something that we are not able to measure directly, but we know from our research that investors put high emphasis -- [it's] actually 'priority number one' for them when they make a decision about where to place their investment -- [on the fact] that the final destination for their investment is a country with a high [degree of] economic and political stability," Hejzak said.

Hejzak said foreign direct investment since 1999 has grown to around $5 billion to $6 billion a year in the Czech Republic. This is approximately double the amount before that.

LOL.

And then Putin began rebuilding the USSR.

All deals off. He proved that NATO is necessary in the region, and should expand a few miles into Russia just for good measure.

NATO Countries Pour Weapons Into Ukraine, Risking Conflict With Russia

Of course this aid to the enemy of a country at war is an act of war.
