Does anyone know if it was a real kitchen?

I realize I am not her audience, suburban women who Trump struggles with is who her message was for

I found the entire kitchen angle silly and she acted exactly like politicians act. It came across to me as scripted and phony

My wife asked me this morning what I thought of it. I said I didn't see it (or the SOTU). I guess my wife watched a little of it on social media this morning. To offer context she's not that political and while she's certainly not a liberal she's also anti-Trump. Her comment was it was 'cringy'.

Now she's just one opinion but it was coming from someone who isn't a partisan and going to automatically like or dislike it based on the letter next to the person's name doing it. (that isn't to say others like her didn't like it)

Katie Britt sought to demonstrate how bad America supposedly is by imitating a meth addicted mother in a kitchen. Was it really her kitchen?

I'm surprised you haven't tarred her as being barefoot and pregnant during that rebuttal...

What makes a kitchen an appropriate TV studio?

She should have offered the response from a neighborhood tavern instead.

I'll admit to not having seen it--I meant to but I fell asleep in my recliner before the address itself--
but if it was like the typical Republican SOTU responses,
at least being in a bar would give her some sort of excuse.

It was really "syrupy." She was trying to act too sincere and nice. One rumor was that she is a possible VP choice and they wanted to test her image with viewers.

They had some disasters with those speeches before: Jindal (eyes in the headlights) and Rubio (water).

Actually, I was surprised she didn't do it from an office, like a normal working person. I was also surprised she ranted insanely like she was on meth.

I mean she went to law school, and is pretending that she does not know much? It is weird.

If you need to deflect from the disastrous, and they do, it's necessary...;) You won't find a thread on how wonderful and inspiration it was...not an honest one at least...because it wasn't...

Honest and normal people will admit that America isn't the hellscape she portrayed, along with the delusion that Biden caused it. Maybe you and Katie should consider moving to Russia... ;)

Her kitchen was the perfect setting...that's Mom country, after all....She didn't need an "excuse"...lol..
(If you eventually watch it, you'll hate it...I'm guessing that because I thought it was a totally appropriate and necessary response to the rant...)

Why hasn't Katie gotten the message that millions of moms work outside the home just like she does? What's she doing in DC if she thinks being home with the kids is the best life for women?

Have they even heard yet that 275,000 jobs were added in February? May I make a prediction? The MAGA morons in this forum will spend the entire day complaining that Joe Biden's voice was too loud last night and that he's really old and that Michelle Obama is actually a man who controls Barack Obama who controls Joe Biden who is the chairperson of the baby-eating, blood-drinking Sunday Supper Club at the DNC.

Biden did well, better than I expected. I hope Mike Johnson enjoyed the one time he will ever get to spend an hour and a half nodding his head in that chair.

He looked like a bobblehead and a guy watching a fast tennis match.

Harris supposedly went to law school, so did Biden. Lots of people who go to law school are morons. After all, it is one of the simplest liberal arts degrees...

My kitchen is barely a perfect setting for cooking, if that, and nothing else.
As for Mom's country, the Gestapo dropped two offspring on me
and she couldn't find the kitchen with GPS.

I don't need a mate who can cook.
I can cook.

I need a mate who votes straight blue tickets as I do,
and that's what I have. Harmony where it matters.

Every family isn't like American Gothic, I guess.
I'm happy you're happy... Harmony is where it's at, so I'm sticking with the Kitchen being For The Love of Mom country....After all, where did you learn to cook? Especially your Sicilian specialties?

Lol. 5/10

9/10. 8/10 at worse

Whose kitchen was it if not hers? She was spot on, wasn't she? And she won't be hoarse this morning like someone we know...

So, if you managed to make it through the Republican "rebuttal" to Biden's State of the Union address last night, I'm sure you remember the tearful sex-trafficking story that Britt told (and later smiled about).

It was a lie.

Yeah, the events happened - in Mexico, not the US, and it happened 20 years ago - when George W Bush was president. It had nothing to do with Biden or his policies. Period.

But as we already know, facts are optional for you MAGA morons...
