Does/how does wearing a medical mask out bother/affect you? Physically/socially/other

Serious question. Not a judgement. "Bother" is used in the context of comfort, breathing, or appearance.

It's all anonymous, go for it but. It's a legitimate question in the most CURRENT context and worth asking and understanding!

(No need to trash the thread).

It is not even a minor inconvenience. But don't tell that to the cult. They actually think wearing a mask is 'oppression'.

I will say that we had humidity (FL) of about 1000% late in the afternoon, hot and still as shit as I left the store and I was 'breathy'. Pulled the sucker off as soon as I hit the clicker to open the car door. ONE time out of at least 100+ x I've worn it.

If racist whites think they are being treated in any way like they treat Black americans...........they start spewing about "losing rights"

the entitled fucks don't think about anyone but themselves.

I don't leave my house unless I'm going for a walk in my neighborhood. I bring a mask in case there are many others out walking or I stop to help my neighbors.

I stay away from those who won't wear a mask. I hope they catch the virus and die........shrugging shoulders.

I like the meme, if a mask bothers you, wait till you’re on a ventilator.

Minor inconvenience lol?

Tell that to bar/food service people. I literally just came from one of the local spots I frequent and I noticed the waitresses having to pull their masks down so they could be heard over the juke box. Poor buggers slaving over the grill with cloth[!] masks on had to be suffocating. Damn things are barely tolerable in a cold operating room.

It just isn’t working and I don’t look for it to last much longer. Well, there’s a segment of the population that will press on with it no matter what.

I'm sorry your job at McDonalds is more difficult with a mask. That wasn't really the question.

I currently have a job in only a technical sense since some genius decided elective surgeries should be put on hold ‘in case the hospital fills up with covid patients’ and that was 8 weeks ago.

Now the hospital can’t afford to call me back because some genius effectively put them on the brink of bankruptcy. So, the government is paying me not to work. So I get to live the irony of a laid off healthcare worker—in a pandemic.

No complaints but it wasn’t my idea. It was some genius ‘expert’.

Wearing masks is the tiniest ask in the world to try to mitigate a pandemic.

I can't believe the issue it has become, and how it is now a right/left thing. And Trump has taken to mask-shaming his opponent, which will have enormous ripple effects.

People are so sure that masks don't work. I hope they're 100% on that, because if they're not, they might want to be reminded that people are dying, and that we're trying to responsibly re-open an economy.

And all of those challenges with absolutely ZERO leadership from our executive branch.

No one was going to go to a hospital to do elective surgeries. So why do surgeons wear a mask?

Beyond that, why do emergency room workers somehow have a lower rate of infection, though they have so much more exposure? Why do Hong Kong and other areas that have had much more mask compliance have plummeting mortality rates now?

A lot of people are going to look really silly when it comes out definitively that yeah, masks work. And I don't know how Trump garners even one vote when that happens.

STFU and be happy you're alive.......because I personally wish you were exposed and took a turn for the worse.

Ok, here’s the deal.

Masks stop droplets. No one argues that. The problem is so much of the public either doesn’t know to not touch the mask; or they forget and touch it; or it’s 85° outside and they say F* it, this thing is coming off my face.

So, what happens to all those *theoretical* COVID bugs that are transmitted to the person’s hand after they pull their mask down over their chin?
