The point is that with an unemployment rate at 4.7%, there wasn't much room for growth. Full employment is considered to be at 5%. While it can spike lower during bubbles (tech bubble a great example) it is not normally sustainable. I wasn't trying to trip her up. I was explaining to her why one should actually look at what happened rather than quote some random study without analyzing the data itself.

Third, I don't "give Romney all the blame I can come up with," so you're wrong there, as well. I said that the 47th ranking stat is worth asking questions about - and you got all of the above out of that. It's amazing.

Bullshit his attack on the "exxons of the world" is real. He attacked oil, WS, and anybody not a union. He assfucked bond holders in the auto industry. Obama is the most anti business pres ever.

Full employment in the United States is considered 5%. That does not mean that full employment everywhere in the United States is 5%. In fact, at the peak of the last two business cycles unemployment in Massachusetts has fallen well below 5%, not just during the tech bubble.

Yes, as I stated, it can indeed spike up during bubbles. The tech bubble was one said time. But it is not normal to be that low.
