Doge Clock...

I guess I'll have to pin this up. DOGE has 2.5 years to come up with 2 Trillion in savings (I think that was their goal). This clock tracks their progress.

Maybe I can figure out a way to embed the thing...

Hey you brain dead Trump fuck, do you honestly believe the shit coming out of the biggest liar in white house history? Cause if you do, I got some money to give to you....1739938157564.png

lol... "biggest liar"... That would be the Braindead Administration. Remember how they told us he was "sharp as a tack" and "running mental circles around the staff" only it happened "behind the scenes"? Yeah... Pepperidge Farm remembers...

This is the problem when you have people involved who simply don't know what they fuck they're looking at.

Because COBOL does not have a date type, some implementations rely instead on a system whereby all dates are coded to a reference point. The most commonly used is May 20, 1875.....

Musk could also have simply looked up the SSA’s own website, which explains that since September 2015 the agency has automatically stopped benefit payments when anyone reaches the age of 115.

No, 150-Year-Olds Aren’t Collecting Social Security Benefits

Elon Musk claims to have found rampant fraud in the Social Security Administration. There’s a much simpler explanation.

Elon Musk has repeatedly claimed that his so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project had uncovered massive government fraud when it alleged that 150-year-olds were claiming Social Security benefits.

But Musk has provided no evidence to back up his claims, and experts quickly pointed out that this is very likely just a quirk of the decades-old coding language that underpins the government payment systems.

Musk first made the claims during his Oval Office press conference last week, when he claimed that a “cursory examination of Social Security, and we got people in there that are 150 years old. Now, do you know anyone that's 150? I don't know. They should be in the Guinness Book of World Records … So that's a case where I think they're probably dead.”

While no evidence was produced to back up this claim, it was picked up by right-wing commentators online, primarily on Musk’s own X platform, as well as being reported credibly by pro-Trump media outlets.

Computer programmers quickly claimed that the 150 figure was not evidence of fraud but rather the result of a weird quirk of the Social Security Administration’s benefits system, which was largely written in COBOL, a 60-year-old programming language that undergirds SSA’s databases as well as systems from many other US government agencies.

COBOL is rarely used today, and as such, Musk’s cadre of young engineers may well be unfamiliar with it.

Because COBOL does not have a date type, some implementations rely instead on a system whereby all dates are coded to a reference point. The most commonly used is May 20, 1875, as this was the date of an international standards-setting conference held in Paris, known as the Convention du Mètre.

These systems default to the reference point when a birth date is missing or incomplete, meaning all of those entries in 2025 would show an age of 150.

That’s just one possible explanation for what DOGE allegedly found. Musk could also have simply looked up the SSA’s own website, which explains that since September 2015 the agency has automatically stopped benefit payments when anyone reaches the age of 115.

However, on Monday morning Musk doubled down, posting a screenshot of what he claims were figures from “the Social Security database” to X, writing that “the numbers of people in each age bucket with the death field set to FALSE!”

The figures suggested that over 10 millions people aged over 120 were collecting benefits.

“Maybe Twilight is real and there are a lot of vampires collecting Social Security,” Musk wrote.

Biden isn't the President. The debate, which clearly showed Biden should never have run for a second term, was 7 months ago. The Biden White House administrators obviously lied about Biden's state of mind just as the Trump White House administrators are lying about who is running DOGE.

As a Libertarian, I'm tired of the two major parties being less than honest with the American public. YMMV

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt declined Tuesday to tell reporters at the White House who the DOGE administrator is, though minutes before she said in an interview with Fox News Channel that Musk has been tasked with overseeing the effort on behalf of the president.

This is what happens when you let an idiot and his hackers have carte blanche.

They have no idea what they are doing.

While Chancellor Elon is in full slash-and-burn mode now, the negative impact will take some time to hit most Americans. When it does, like firing the Nuclear Stockpile employees, the Trump administration will find it's much harder to get them back than it was to fire them. Same goes for the national park employees and other employees who have direct contact with the public.

The Trump administration stated that no safety personnel were fired from the FAA, including air traffic controllers, but what they are hiding is that people being fired are support personnel who pay, assist, schedule or otherwise support the agency.

This is akin to cutting the military in half and claiming no combat soldiers were fired, just the cooks, supply clerks, dispersing clerks (pay), mechanics, etc.

IMO, the negative impact will be so strong that the Republicans face a major backlash in November 2026. Much worse than 2018. So will they just take the hit or will the DOGE do something more drastic?

I'm not convinced there will be a negative impact, though it's possible. I'm not confident in the US government to right-size their staffing, so cutting some may not hurt anything if they were over-staffed in the first place.

Translation: Look over there! Don't pay attention to the last four years, we don't want you to remember that. Look! He's doing what he said he would do! Politicians shouldn't do things like that!
I’m far more worried about the next four years than the last. You keep focusing on the past. It’s what Elon wants you to do.

Trump signed an EO yesterday that stated only Bondi and himself can determine what the law is. And you’re worried about Biden.

🤣🥸

I'm still waiting to see what the next four years hold in store for us. So far, the largest "fight" the democrats have is "He's saving money!" If that continues I think we'll be doing pretty well.

What I know, nearly 50% of the nation were willing to pretend that a dementia patient was "good to go" as his handlers damaged the nation.

As I said, you main goal is to get everyone to forget Dementia Joe as quickly as possible. It isn't going to happen. I plan to remind you about it constantly. You should be ashamed of those four years.

The same thing that the slave posted but not what when see when you click on the 8 billion as you said, Pobre.
That's funny that at least 8 different news organizations have all said the same thing and when I click it it shows up but you simply deny it is happening. I guess you need to claim that or admit to yourself that you are delusional.

Then if we go to USASpending .gov and search for D&G Support Services, we see they have only had $94 million from DHS in the last 8 years.

You ignore facts Damo. Biden steered us through the pandemic, our economy was the envy of the world.

Trumps trash and burn is already done a lot of damage, both domestically and internationally.

There’s already a lot of voter remorse. It’s going to get worse.

So far Trump has managed to go golfing on at least 9 of his first 30 days in office, likely costing the US taxpayer over $10 million. He isn't exactly saving us money.
