DOJ did a great job getting this guy!

You seem to forget that I go to Northern Ireland regularly and both my parents came from Ireland.

The Official IRA gave up fighting in 1970 which was when the Provisional IRA was formed. When the British Army went to NI in 1969 they were welcomed with open arms by the Catholics, this really pissed off the PIRA who then went out of their way to turn the populace against the soldiers.

Like I said elsewhere; you're just a self loathing person.

Thankfully, you buck all the stereotypical traits foreign type people associate with Americans.

Your intelligent, articulate, thought provoking posts are a wonderful thing to behold.

Thank you so much.

Just taking it to a level, where you'll understand.
I see it worked. :good4u:

You truly haven't a clue, 29 people were killed in Omagh including an 18 month baby. Catholics and Protestants alike were injured and killed, if that happened in North Carolina the good ol' boys would be calling out for a lynching party.
It wouldn't have happened in NC because we love freedom here. :)

I know. :(

Sadly, we can only hope that one day our women are free to have abortions, our gays are free to marry and we are free to display a nipple at a major sporting event without destroying society in perpetuity.

One day, SM. One day.
See? You don't even know what freedom is. You mistake it for "freedom from responsibility", just like any good socialist. :cof1:

I am able to see the truth beyond any tribal considerations. The Sunningdale Agreement of 1973 gave the Catholics virtually everything they demanded apart from a United Ireland. Gerry Adams and co. kept on killing for another quarter century and another 3000 dead before they agreed to a nearly identical settlement in 1998.

Which has what to do with the Orangemen and the support they got/get from the British?

The enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Regardless, this isn't about the Irish; its about you damn Brits.

No, it's not. We didn't try and blow up New York.

(and even if we had have done, using that enemy's enemy thing, i get the feeling you would probably have given us a hand :))
