7500 South Shore Drive was about half and half Venezuelans with asylum visas, and Black Americans whose families had been here since at least 1808. Some of the Venezuelans had their visas revoked, but were not told about it. That does not make them illegal immigrants. But we are talking about the Black American citizens here. None of them were even suspected of being illegal immigrants. Even if you accept the use of skin color to get probable cause, they have a different skin color than the Venezuelans. There was absolutely no probable cause to throw hand grenades into their homes, to tear down their doors, and to force them into the street arresting them. Being poor, Blacks and recent Hispanic immigrants live in the same neighborhoods in Chicago. The new ICE agents are often very racist, and do not care about violating the rights of Blacks. Therefore they are just clearing out neighborhoods, and then sorting out who is who hours, days, weeks, or even months later.
