So word is the Trumpster is going to give a speech tonight so dark, so frightening, so damned depressing, you should hide your children.

I wonder, how smart is this?

Remember Reagan's Morning in America? Has the American psyche really changed all that much since then? Who's he preaching to? The choir who really believes Obama has sold out our country to the Muslims?

Because he isn't talking to normal people. Normal people are why President Obama's approval ratings remain high right now.

And if the Dems come in next time and pick up the morning in america?

I think it's a mistake, but I'm happy to watch him make it.
 
I'm kind of a amazed at how much righties are talking down the country in general.

We were losing close to a million jobs a month when Obama took office. No one is really asking the question, "Are you better off than you were 8 years ago?," but who wouldn't say 'yes' to that?

Last night, one of the Trumpsters on CNN was talking about how much worse things are, and she was challenged on it & responded something like "people in San Bernadino didn't used to fear going to the office to work!"

I just shook my head. 9/11? NYC? Hello?
 
And I agree - it's a mistake to go for the doom & gloom tone. It's kind of what he's been about, though. Scaring everyone into voting for him.
 
I just saw a large woman, looked like a blonde wig, maybe 65, very big, and also wearing huge Trump glasses and a hat, screaming "Trump trump" - she looked like a damn fool. All of a sudden she totally stopped and looked stunned, from what you could see of her face. I think when the camera panned to her she got a good look at herself. Now I'm not saying this will be enough to terrify her into voting Hillary, but...that woman got a wakeup call tonight you can believe it.

Yep I think it's going to backfire. I don't think Americans really want to be pounded with "We Suck! We Suck!" and "Your children have no future!".

Trump doesn't need to convince the people in that arena tonight to win the election. Yet that is who he will be playing to.
Moderate America wil be shaking their heads in disbelief.

Well, like you were saying - it leaves a HUGE opening for Dems next week. I'd bet they've been tweaking their message this whole week. Once again, they can be the voices of hope.

Great story about the Trump supporter. I think they all need to see how they look & sound.
