Donald Trump Knows Less About Energy Than Sarah Palin Does. Let That Sink In

Don't lie, Norah Beth. You actually thought "costed" was the past tense of "cost".

I bet buggy whip makers lost their jobs when people switched to driving trucks and cars.

Don't conservatives believe in the invisible hand of the free market?

When there's a glut of oil, prices go down, and there are layoffs.

Supply and demand.

You wouldn't want the government to intervene, would you?

Did I say that I wanted the government to intervene?

i think EVERY industry is over regulated. what i'm referring to is the US oil production factor

There's a similar debate here in WV about coal regulations. Granted, lifting some of the more ridiculous ones designed to purposely kill the industry, won't make coal what it was in this region. Of course, I won't say 'never' because it won't be long before the left over regulates the fracking industry to where coal could be more competitive. Yet another reason why this election is so important.

But a good question is how much of a factor are the regulations? If getting rid of the more stringent ones brings some jobs back, a lot of people are down for that.

And as you seem to agree, they should go anyway.

the ridiculous and insane number of stupid regulations tends to be the by-product of hyperbolic liberals who believe that one mistake is too many, therefore they must all be stopped.

some of the more ridiculous ones designed to purposely kill the industry

Name them. I'll understand if you can't.

I won't say 'never' because it won't be long before the left over regulates the fracking industry to where coal could be more competitive.

So you would oppose regulation of mining but would welcome regulation of fracking?

But a good question is how much of a factor are the regulations?

So you don't know?

If getting rid of the more stringent ones brings some jobs back, a lot of people are down for that. And as you seem to agree, they should go anyway.

So as long as coal-mining jobs come back, pesky regulations should be done away with?

Remember when mines weren't regulated, the pollution of waterways and the cave ins killing many men? I do

Did I say that you said you wanted the government to intervene?

You implied it by asking questions and bolding words that would question my principles relating to the topic. It's fine though and there's no reason to argue about it. My point was made pretty clearly in my earlier comments in my opinion.

Think so?

So not only did you think "costed" was the past tense of "cost", you failed to recognize the import of a question mark and think bolding a word is a pejorative implication?

That great Texan G. W. Bush may have been right, about Texas schools, anyway.

remember when the EPA caused an entire waterway to be polluted and the liberals blamed the mining company? I do.

You do?

I remember the EPA was trying to dam decades of mine waste after the owners of the mine enjoyed many years of unregulated profit until the minerals ran out. Then they took the money and ran, leaving their mess behind, and there was a breach when a contractor made a mistake.

Did you think the EPA created the pollution?

It's fine you can make fun of me. I know that I'm not always the smartest person in the room but I'll be just fine in college and after I graduate because I work hard and I am smart where it counts with regards to what I want to do with my life and career.

So you say. Aren't you going to work on daddy's ranch?

Maybe you should have paid attention in class instead of drawing horses on your Trapper Keeper™.

I really don't see why there can't be far more extensive use of UCG technology, it works!!
