Don’t tell the evangelicals...

In Judaism a fetus is not a person until born

Jewish law does not share the belief common among abortion opponents that life begins at conception, nor does it legally consider the fetus to be a full person deserving of protections equal those accorded to human beings. In Jewish law, a fetus attains the status of a full person only at birth. Sources in the Talmud indicate that prior to 40 days of gestation, the fetus has an even more limited legal status, with one Talmudic authority (Yevamot 69b) asserting that prior to 40 days the fetus is “mere water.” Elsewhere, the Talmud indicates that the ancient rabbis regarded a fetus as part of its mother throughout the pregnancy, dependent fully on her for its life — a view that echoes the position that women should be free to make decisions concerning their own bodies.

and Israel has universal health care

and since the 1970s, stopped viewing homosexuality as a mental illness. In 1993, the Israeli Parliament revised the military rules so that gay, lesbian and bisexual Israelis can serve openly and on an equal footing with their heterosexual counterparts. Homosexuals have been allowed to serve openly in the military, including special units

And they have that universal health care you mentioned. How terribly socialist of them. (just don't tell the Reichtards about the Kibbutzim.)

The OP is odd on many levels

Why should evangelicals care if they don’t live in Israel?

Is the OP implying that catholic folks should t care but evangelicals should?

Or is “evangelicals” just code for any Christian

Odd...I went to a well-attended baby shower (Jewish family-first baby) several weeks ago...the nursery was complete and quite elaborate...Not the first one I've been to. So I guess some people aren't that religious these days...or superstitious...
Or are they just "bad"?;)

Christianity takes no position on the fetus.
