You didn't answer my question!!!!!!

I think I did.

If you work on Sunday (the Sabbath), under God's Law you should be stoned to death.
Under Man's Law, you can work when you want to and you will not be killed.

So, when you walk into a Courtroom, which Law will be held most sacred?
God's Law?
Man's Law?

Jack,your "God's law",applied only to ancient Israelites!

How is a historical rendering of the ten commandments in a court house hurting anyone? How is a cross on a hill some that were memorials to WW2 vets hurting you, don't look at them! Whose owns government properties, the people!!!! Why take them down

The issue is not whether something is hurting anyone or offending anyone.

It must meet the constitutional test of having (government action) a legitimate secular purpose. A historical rendering of the 10 commandments meets the test if it is within a larger historical contest. Just putting a plaque in a courthouse of the 10 commandments has no secular purpose. Requiring kids in a (public) school to recite a prayer is not hurting anyone, but it has no secular purpose so it unconstitutional.

Hello guno,

In Judaism a fetus is not a person until born

Jewish law does not share the belief common among abortion opponents that life begins at conception, nor does it legally consider the fetus to be a full person deserving of protections equal those accorded to human beings. In Jewish law, a fetus attains the status of a full person only at birth. Sources in the Talmud indicate that prior to 40 days of gestation, the fetus has an even more limited legal status, with one Talmudic authority (Yevamot 69b) asserting that prior to 40 days the fetus is “mere water.” Elsewhere, the Talmud indicates that the ancient rabbis regarded a fetus as part of its mother throughout the pregnancy, dependent fully on her for its life — a view that echoes the position that women should be free to make decisions concerning their own bodies.

and Israel has universal health care

and since the 1970s, stopped viewing homosexuality as a mental illness. In 1993, the Israeli Parliament revised the military rules so that gay, lesbian and bisexual Israelis can serve openly and on an equal footing with their heterosexual counterparts. Homosexuals have been allowed to serve openly in the military, including special units

Very interesting!

Didn't know this.

Thanks for the info.

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

They also offer no-questions-asked abortions. I wonder if our Xtian friends like our tax dollars going to support a regime like that? lol

Couldn't have it if it was an organization that helps low income women have basic health services. The poor shall inherit nothing.

Hello Jarod,

The Islamic theocracies outlaw abortion, maybe they can find a home with them.

I was wondering about that. So that means there is probably no abortion in Palestine.

American conservatives are more aligned with Palestine than with Israel on this.

Oh.

There, I said it.

There is a large Mosque on a hill near DC. It is brightly lit and visible from the interstates and main roads. I am not offended. I don't care. Unlike you, I don't criticize them every chance I get. Fair is fair...

I would worry about living next to one.

Democrats are for turning this great country into a third world shithole.
Some time back, I saw a story on a small town where there was a scantly
lit cross on a hill owned by the borough. A liberals started crying, he was
"insulted" by this cross. Well, with the overwhelming support of the town's
people and a generous donation from a local company, that cross was
refurbished and new lighting was installed. It stands tall and brightly lit.

You hate Christians, Jack. For whatever reason, you and a few others here
have a blind hatred for anyone who identifies as a Christian. You hate the
sight of anything that symbolizes Christianity (or American history, traditional
values, the American flag, etc, for that matter). You brand every Christian with
the same, hot iron. How many of you secretly cheered when that church in
Charleston was shot up? What about the others that have been torched? How
many of you just didn't care?
Yeah, Democrats aren't interested in turning this country into a Theocracy,
they're interested in turning this country into a third world shithole by dismantling
the very cornerstones this nation was founded on, one American tradition at a time.

THE FACTS: Abortion in Israel is permitted when determined by a termination committee under limited circumstances such as rape, concerns about the age of the woman, or birth defects

you know nothing about Israel or Jewish law stupid goyim

Jewish law does not consider the fetus to be a being with a soul until it is born. It does not have personhood. Furthermore, before 40 days, some poskim, or deciders of Jewish law, have a low bar for allowing an abortion.

The Talmud, in Yevamos 69b, cites the view of Rav Hisda that “until forty days from conception the fetus is merely water. It is not yet considered a living being.”

If there is a threat to a woman’s life, the safety of the mother takes precedence over continuing the pregnancy at any stage. Many sources illustrate this graphically and rather unambiguously, and all modern poskim, or religious decisors, agree on this. In fact, in certain circumstances, a fetus that endangers the life of the mother is legally considered a “murderer” in active pursuit.

The greater priority is the health and welfare of the mother. “Jewish law sees the fetus during the first 40 days of gestation as ‘simply water’ and during the rest of gestation ‘like the thigh of its mother.’ It does not become a full human being until birth, specifically, until the head emerges from the vaginal canal or, if a breach birth, when ‘the majority of the body’ or the shoulders emerge,” said Rabbi Analia Bortz, co-founder of Congregation Or Hadash. Bortz is also a medical doctor with post-doctorate studies in bioethics.

The crosses, bibles, and monuments were already there before leftists, such as yourself, came along and made removing them an obsession of the Democratic Party (alongside killing babies). Were the Founders theocrats for having began the process?

You rightists prove there is nothing new about them spreading falsehoods and propaganda in the name of Conservative Jesus.

Hello Flash,

Not if the Democrats are successful. They are going after the evangelicals for 2020.

Great stuff, thanks.

And it makes sense, especially what Pagitt is doing.

And great point, Bernie is dead meat because he has not talked about religion at all. I don't see how a candidate can write off the religious and expect to win.

Hello Jack,

The Jesus Freaks want a Cross on every Mountain Top, a Bible in every School, and the Ten Commandments in every Courthouse.
Democrats aren't interested in turning America into a Theocracy.

Yeah, they don't all want that. Don't fall for shallow stereotypes.
