Double Mormon Ticket...

The sentence you bold here is a falsehood. He posted this because he remains ignorant of the LDS church and its practices and continues to spread those even when shown he is incorrect.

The fact is that the LDS church is one of the few that has an official means of resigning, and that it is not the position of the church that you are always a member and especially not that you "cannot leave".

If he was ignorant of it at the time of the original post, then it wasn't a lie, it was a mistake.

In the 3+ years I've posted here, I never got either a bigoted or racist vibe from Jarod. He's not like webway about blacks or DY about gays. It's why I'm so surprised at the way this thread is going.

Do I have to do everything you ask, if you think so, you have the wrong female.

did I say you did? No. I mentioned that none of you could post it here. While you are included in the group, it is still a group. Only one of you needed to do so.

I think he was truly ignorant of it when he first posted it. But after being corrected, he still maintains that no one proved him wrong on it. So he is therefore deliberately continuing on with a falsehood. To deliberately spread a falsehood about a religion as a whole is bigoted in my opinion.

Jarod is very anti-Christian in a lot of his postings. Mostly against Evangelicals. That, in my opinion is where he wanted this thread to go... to bashing the evangelicals for being intolerant (which is in itself, ironic)

You refused to look at it because it involved clicking on a link.

No, it was not a link. It was an email account. Big difference. As I stated at the time, put it up on a link and I would gladly look at it. But he refused to do so. Just an fyi... you can tell where an email account was accessed from.

You could say the same for many of us and our posts.

True, but after learning the truth he continued to press rather than just say, "Well that idiot who wrote the article was a moron!".

The first time I mentioned religious bigotry it was about the story, not about Jarod. However, once Jarod doubled down and repeated it, he chose to continue to spread the falsehood.

Yeah, the "between the lines" crap is more difficult to spot. When you press innuendo and falsehood against people of a certain religion and then try to apply it to somebody of a different religion (like the idiots who believe that Obama is a Muslim because his parents said so when he was a child) then you are, IMO, a bigot.

Damo, you know this but:

A falsehood is a statement that is incorrect, it ascribes no intent upon the person who made the statement.
A lie is a statement that is incorrect the person who made the statement knows its incorrect and intentionally makes the statement.

Damocles called me a liar and a bigot in the first response....

I did not call him a moron, the guy might be correct!

I did not repeated it.

You claimed what I posted was "Religous bigotry"!

My understanding and experience is that they convey different intent upon the one who utters the statement. I suspect most understand this.
