If Birx actually said that she’s either an idiot or has an agenda. Trump was *powerless* to affect the numbers any meaningful way because the Covid response was executed by the governors under the aegis of DR BIRX and the medical bureaucracy.

Trump might have been called a dictator but he had no dictatorial powers. Executive authority is limited [in theory, given the current dictator occupant of the WH] so Trump was literally powerless to affect any meaningful change in the total death count. The primary responsible for THAT lies squarely at the feet of the CCP.

I’ll assume for the sake of argument that’s true: what could Trump have done that would have made a difference? What difference was two weeks going to make? Especially, given what we know now. The virus was already TOO PREVALENT in our population to change the ultimate outcome in any meaningful degree—because China was lying about human to human transmission during the only window we had to stop it.

Stopping it only could have been done very early in the game. In fact, in a country this size I doubt that was even possible. It was going to get here and get going sooner or later. No one was going to stop it after that window. Including ANY president.
