I don't know about that. Call me parochial if you want, I think I'd rather this sick fuck were out of the country than in it.

Laura Schlessinger is another genuinely evil and depraved human being. I don't care how "honest" her sick opinions are, they're still disgusting and beyond the pale. She has the right to be evil if she wishes but that doesn't make her any less evil.

Damn. For all her talk of family values and proper parenting, this sick mofo puts a tad of a dent in her credibility as an expert on parenting.


Hmmm. On the other hand, I did find her book on the role of women in married relationships to be spot on: "The proper care and feeding of Husbands", I believe it was called. Brilliant!

If they are true. So far it is an accusation. As I always do, I will await for more evidence than this before I judge.

That being said, if this is 100% true, he shouldn't be wearing the uniform of the US and representing us elsewhere.

But he's part of any occupying force. He has to be pulled out of there, today. As part of any occupying force he is in situations where he has absolute power over women and children. This cannot be allowed.

The proper care and feeding of husbands...comparing men to pets and I'm sure this phrase also indicates a high opinion of their intellect.

Right. The page was probably pulled down because of over-ardent love poetry.

You now know why the military has blocked MySpace from use by soldiers in the combat zone? So it is your judgement that we have a lot of solidiers who would make postings like the sadistic ones described in the article?
 
To be fair...

I went into two other Military Boards that I belong to...to get the other side of the story! It appears that the soldiers who posted these cartoons only posted cartoons that are being passed around the countryside by the radicals to turn the populace against the US and other troops serving In Country...these were confinscated cartoons not written or drawn by the accused soldiers...they were only posted to show how the enemy distorts the truth about US soldiers...(Propoganda) And the Military has blocked MySpace so soldiers comments cannot be taken out of context and used as propganda by Anti-War protestors...as well as for other security reasons!

But, what is it that you are waiting for? The Army yanked it down as soon as the newspaper called them for comment about it, and then some of them called it "repulsive" and others, no doubt the PR branch, started the old "oh that wasn't our bomb that killed those civillians, that was an Al Qaeda bomb planted to make us look bad". And the cons fall for it everytime. Two years later, when the truth comes out, they dont' have anything to say, but what difference would it make if they did?

It doesn't matter to me if you are "waiting" for the obligatory two years to pass before you'll "believe" this. That's what conservatives always do. The guy should be pulled the hell out of there as fast as his page was pulled down. Because it isn't just about how we look, it's about what we do. It's more important he's kept from raping and torturing helpless people, than that we look bad when people see his webpage.

Some people's priorities are really screwed up.

What am I waiting for? To actually read the myspace account. Somebody took a snapshot of it somewhere. I like context. I also like to wait until after investigations to find out what exactly it is all about.

It has nothing to do with two years or "belief", this would be the same with a liberal/conservative, anybody at all. Seriously, I like to wait until there is more than allegations before judging a person like this. The schadenfruede is heavy in this thread.

Schadenfruede? Yes, I take great pleasure in the idea that a man who gets off on sexual torture is being left in Iraq.

I want him out, get it? Today.

I don't give two shits for your investigation. It's been done. No doubt you were one of th ones who believed that Jessica Lynch was a female Rambo and that Pat Tillman went down fighting Al Qaeda. Just like back then, you can bet your ass that the army knows TODAY, what happened. And you can bet that if this LOL scam that is was Al Qaeda who made the webpage were true ( which only an idiot would believe), then they'd have said so, with backup. It's not true. He did it, they know it. this is all about cover your ass, as it always is, instead of about solving a problem. If that problem is going to cause you bad PR, you lie. How can you still not know this?

They need to pull him out of there. Today. But they won't, and a lot of rubes will sit around "waiting for proof" which won't come until two years from now, when he will quiety be discharged, after doing how many horrific things to how many people, only God will ever know. Anyway, you can't give two shits about an investigation? Seriously. I find that far more disturbing than anything else I have ever seen you post. I believe in due process, so much so that I have consistently been against tribunals against those in GITMO. But heck, we can just judge him in the media, that's good enough for Darla, it should be good enough for everybody else!

This has nothing to do with the media. The Army knows, right now, who posted that page. To believe they do not, is naive.

Any "investigation" is a show. They found out with one phone call to myspace. What's the isp?

They know who posted it, yet they are investigating.

Seriously, even people in the military deserve due process. And I notice you still haven't posted a link to somebody's snapshot of the page.

I would like to know if that comment they keep quoting was in sarcastic response to one of the cartoons. Or if he claimed the cartoons himself.

You want to just take the story, and use it to convict. It wouldn't matter which soldier it was, they deserve to have more than just this convict them.

To convict them of what? Pulling them out of Iraq where they are in the position to hurt someone (or actually, it might be afghanistan that he's in), is not convicting anyone .

A link to the snapshot? Nobody, not even the Army is denying what was on the page Damo. After the Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch "investigations" which you I'm sure also gave the "benefit of the doubt to" I don't have any faith whatsoever in these liars. Once someone lies to me, I no longer believe them. Now, I know that's "anti-American" but I'm just funny that way. And there is no way I would want to see anyone in this guy's way until this "investigation" plays out. I wouldn't want to be in an isolated situation with him until the investigation was over, and since I wouldn't I don't feel that it's ok to put Iraqis or Afghanis in that situation. That's another way that I'm peculiar.
