The lesson of Pearl Harbor is clear, relying on a non-professional volunteer service in peace time leaves us vulnerable to attack. So we need to strike a balance but keep a critical eye on the military industrial establishment but we also need to use the draft for just the reasons you stated. It's also the reason why politicians oppose the draft.

Had we had to implement a draft for the war on Terrorism we would have never invaded Iraq so your point is valid.

There was no draft in 2004. Only the Army drafts, and I'm in the Air Force. I doubt the military would send me to a private Catholic school if they were to "draft" me into a faggot liberal university. The government would just send me to Berkeley or Evergreen State.

If they answer by giving you the name of their home town and the state .. especially the state they're from then you've identified southern trash.

I often just start with the silly accent, and go from there. Yes, there are southern trash, but thankfully it's a guard unit, so they are sworn to the great northwest (not that oaths have ever kept them in line before...).

That would be unthinkable, there's no such thing as trash not originating in Europe.

It's no hidden fact around here that I hate Germany and Serbia, and love English culture (which is my heritage as an American). I like to drop white ethnic slurs because I am white, they are funny, and I have little respect for Europe today. My roots are historical and cultural - Graeco-Roman and English. Though I find my Irish ancestry fairly quaint, I have no interest in the Czechs or Slovenians, and the Germans can go fuck themselves. It is still not PC to say these things, but at least I'm not causing any harm.
