You are actually both wrong. No NATO is not getting Gobsmacked , and YES Russia can still crush Ukraine quite badly but ONLY if they think NATO ground forces will not enter the war and will instead let it play out. That is the only reason this thing has played out this long, Russia's uncertainty of what NATO's reaction would be because quite frankly NATO would give Russia the pounding of a lifetime. ESPECIALLY NOW that they are weakened.
 
To be clear,.....I do not want American ground forces in Ukraine. The United States has done plenty enuff bleeding and dying for this world. Someone else can step up to the plate.
 
To say nothing of the fact that if Americans are on the ground fighting in Ukraine it wont be long before China Hits Taiwan, North Korea hits South Korea, and Iran and its Proxies hit Israel. This is why this fucking thing should have been negotiated shortly after it began. The chain reaction domino effect it would cause is a losing scenario for ALL involved. We would all bleed and bleed hard. Actually,....its INSANITY.

If Trump were smart he would put together a negotiation situation involving FOUR countries. Ukraine, Russia, the United States,....and YES....CHINA believe it or not. Russia keeps the Donbas, and pays some monetary reparation but nowhere near the point of what happened after WW1. The U.S and the NATO countries that supplied Ukraine with arms get a huge chunk of the REBUILD of Ukraine to recoup. Its something like that or face WW3,......don't be CRAZY.

Why China? For one so Russia doesn't have to feel totally US AGAINST THE WORLD at the negotiating table,....For two it will appeal to China's national ego. OK China,...you want to be seen as an equal to the Americans on the world wide scene,....here's how you do it in a peaceful and diplomatic way.

Russia has problems with China in areas as well. They border each other and have disputes.
It's a delicate balance out there. If Uncle Sugar builds a refinery or 2, US will be on top of the world.
I heard a lotta military stuff today.
 
As with the founding of the EU where the Germans pretended to be the equal of the French the Chinese do the same with the Russians.....because in the end this is good for them.
