The State of the Union is ... quacking.

"Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson has landed a coveted invite to the President's Capitol Hill speech on Tuesday, from newly elected Rep. Vance McAllister (R-La.).

Robertson, the CEO of Duck Commander, had endorsed McAllister during his Congressional bid.

He appeared in a TV ad,advising voters to "send somebody from the 5th District who speaks for us to help turn Washington around.”

McAllister, a wealthy Louisiana businessman, was elected in November.

He had also scored an endorsement from Willie's father, Phil, whose outspoken remarks on gay marriage earned the family patriarch a short-lived suspension from the A&E show. "I am proud to have my close friend, constituent and small business owner, Willie Robertson, attend tonight's State of the Union Address as my special guest," McAllister said in a statement about his choice of guest for his first State of the Union.

"Willie is thankful for this opportunity and honored to attend. I look forward to the two of us representing the Fifth District in DC this evening and bringing some diversity to our nation's capitol."

:rofl2:

That should piss off some of the liberal idiots.....

Why would it piss off liberals? If duck guy publicly criticized Obama for anything I'd call him a hypocrite for attending, otherwise no big deal.

Yeah making a smelly looking hillbilly who talks to ducks and gives interviews about men's anuses the face of the republican party really upsets liberals! (meanwhile its almost as if we planned this stuff ourselves)

Actually Wiilie didn't give the interview. Phil did. Maybe if Snarla spent less time making video clips she would be more informed.

What a dumb twat. She is too dumb to be a decent semen receptacle

I love it when Snarla exposes her ignorance like this. They all look alike to her, I guess. :dunno:

Isn't that what principles are about?

What principles? Did Willie Robertson dog the President. Do you have quotes?

Also do you have instances of where lefties boycotted Bush's SOU?

Interesting how you lefties are never happy. If he turned down the invite you would have called him a racist. If he goes he is a hypocrite. What a world you have created for yourselves

Do you remember when James Harrison wouldn't visit the WH after the 2009 Superbowl win? He also declined bush's invitation after the 2006 win. So that's what I mean about sticking to principles, even though I though Harrison was an idiot.

Harrison had principles, that's not to say the hundreds in attendance who don't agree with your messiah don't have principles. Damn your logic sucks, woman.

But you haven't stated what principle Willie Robertson is supposed to be sticking to. Seriously.

You lost track of this thread starting with my comment in #2. Your reading comprehension sucks, man.

Post #2: "Why would it piss off liberals? If duck guy publicly criticized Obama for anything I'd call him a hypocrite for attending, otherwise no big deal."

I guess I am not following what you are saying. Are you calling Willie a hypocrite?

Obviously Darla doesn't know the difference between Phil and Willie. Maybe guys with beards all look alike.

This is just me but I would go to a SOTU speech if I had the opportunity no matter who the President was and wouldn't think it hypocritical if it was someone I didn't vote for or had criticized. I'd view visiting a Presidential library the same way.
