Duncan Hunter...Issues!

I believe that as well but for those in the house that have a relationship with the Great I AM, but have a hard time wrestling with pain and god's love they should read Lewis.
Yes by all means, those who believe have a need to rationalize it out.

Even though you are a doubter God sees your pain...not to worry you will be healed soon...look at what is going on in your sorry life...then watch for the miracle!:)

Damocles
if this isn't a holier than thou statement, I don't know what is.

It doesn't seem to be that way to me. He states that God cares regardless of whether they believe and that if they wait and watch they'll see a miracle.

The most dangerous and unfortunately contagious of beliefs are those that believe that if someone doesn't believe the way you do they're damned to hell, especially the almost amoral disposition of evangelical Christianity, which puts belief over everything else. They outright state that a good person will go to hell if they don't believe in God and find no qualms with the such reasoning - that's not only morally bankrupt, it's downright DANGEROUS.

Why do you Islam and Christianity have gotten so large, while the parent religion, Judaism, has stayed almost constant? Purely belief driven religions are a virus.

A virus they are condemend to suffer for not believing as you do, huh?

So long as they and you keep it to only beliefs and don't feel a right to use physical force, there is no reason for concern. Let them suffer their virus and we can all burn in hell. Who cares?

Because his belief system consigns non-believers to hell.
So does, John Kerry's. Why does it make only this guy "holier than thou"?

If he truly believes then what do you expect him to say? To suggest that he is wrong in his belief for such a reason is a position that actually is "holier than thou", it suggests you are better because you believe differently, none of which was suggested in his post where he tried to offer comfort to a stranger.
