Under most circumstances I agree. However the declaration of war with Japan was retribution for the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor and sinking of a portion of our Pacific fleet. Not to accomplish national political aims. So in this case I disagree. So dick head stop and think before throwing out insults. The signature pic is aimed at people like you.
the only thing I would add to that is "war is the ultimate failure of diplomacy"..not that Japan was really interested in diplomacy, but we were up until Pearl Harbor.

I was looking at border security in the only light it can be looked at. I can look at issues through a legal prism, and distinguishing between what is a political question
and not as mediating its suitability for resolution by each of the concordant branches,
or as I was using the word, as that which in sociology is the product of the group. Basically, I know too much and could probably rough out a dissertaion on the fly on any subject
you could name. There is no non political aspect to border security. If every person you thought was a liberal made your day and croaked, the fight between yourselves
