Electric vehicles can now power your home for three days. MAGA wets panties

not sure I'd put night in the radical left column.

he's not wrong to acknowledge physics etc, that has to be addressed.

pure hydrogen is not a viable choice though its the easiest (remember the Hindenburg ?). but they are developing alternatives that address the challenges.

lots of smart people working on it (without mountains of govt money) but making great progress none the less.

EVs are a satisfactory solution for some transportation uses but not all and they never will be.

That's a fight I studiously avoid. Sometimes it's better to say nothing than argue with an idiot.

Who are 'they'? You cannot change the laws of physics. It requires energy to extract hydrogen from water.

Pay attention to the conversation, dummy. T.A Gardner was describing Democrats, not me.

Nope. It's mountains of government money.

Not even as a golf cart. That's why a lot of golf courses decided to get rid of them in favor of gasoline powered golf carts.
If you want to buy into an EV, YOU pay for it. All $66,000 of it (for a model 3 Tesla, short range version). No government subsidies. No government mandates. You pay for it yourself and you pay for the charging stations themselves.

People that drive gasoline cars do. I expect you to do the same, WITHOUT ANY GOVERNMENT MANDATES OR HELP.
Oh...gasoline car drivers pay for the roads too...EV owners don't.

Okay, that's one car manufacturer. What about the others? Not a very big sample size, TA.

they understand the limitations and since they have to make products for ALL, they are working to find better solutions. Musk is too, batteries can only do so much. But he's making great motors that can be run off electricity from hydrogen.

THIS EV BATTERY CAN TRAVEL OVER 750 MILES ON A SINGLE CHARGE: ‘FUNDAMENTALLY REINVENT THE BATTERY’

The battery was able to power a Tesla Model S for an incredible 752 miles across Michigan on a single charge.

The Gemini battery from manufacturer Our Next Energy (ONE) promises to give electric vehicles a greater range than ever before.
In a December 2021 road test, ONE’s first Gemini prototype was able to power a Tesla Model S for an incredible 752 miles across Michigan on a single charge, according to the company’s website.*
A third party validated the impressive results using a vehicle dynamometer.

No, they don't. They use the 12v lead acid battery to maintain their time keeping and memory storage.
Disconnecting the 12v battery from the car means the car will have to relearn what time it is, what the radio station settings are, and even how to idle the engine properly. A shop mechanic will reprogram the engine settings after such a disconnection for you.

Now let's go back to your ridiculous notion that a coin or flatpack battery (such as used in a cell phone) is equivalent to a 1000lb lithium battery pack in an EV, such as that found in the Tesla Model 3.

So clearly you know nothing about cars. Also, I never claimed that an EV battery has more lithium ion. I simply claimed that both have lithium ion.

No. I was talking about lithium ion batteries in general. I wasn't claiming that the lithium ion battery in a phone is the same quantity as that found in an EV.

MAGA morons would rather lie than admit they were wrong. It's encoded in their DNA. Just like their savior:

The proof is in the pudding, as they say. The battery itself is certainly different from the Li-ion battery normally used. Time will tell the other characteristics of this battery. I wonder how it compares by weight to the currently used battery packs? Other questions that still need to be answered is the longevity of retention, temperature limitations, moisture limitations, and of course any corrosion characteristics, and actual use conditions other than that conducted by this company.

I will watch this battery with interest.
