Giving the federal government no limit on spending is like giving a 16-year-old girl a credit card with no limit...
You too have fallen victim to the illusion created by the Uniparty. The Federal government has
no limit on spending. Congress can raise or lower or eliminate the debt ceiling as it wishes.
What Donald Trump is trying to explain to
We the People is that we are all being fooled by the Uniparty. The establishment politicians have created a contrivance called the "debt ceiling" to give the mostly ignorant masses the illusion that Congress is prudently acting under strict fiscal responsibility and financial restraint ... all the while Congress is hedonistically overspending on prohibitively expensive pork, graft and patronage corruption with reckless abandon. Donald Trump would like to remind
We the People that the "debt ceiling" was contrived in 1917 and established at $11.5 billion, and then altered 78 times thereafter, to the last "limit" of $31.4 TRILLION before Congress suspended it entirely until 2025.
We the People never understand anything about what is actually occurring with US overspending, but instead are content to relegating ourselves to discussing irrelevancies about the contrivance of the "debt ceiling" and what we all mistakenly believe it to mean.
Trump is simply pointing out that
We the People aren't doing ourselves any favors by deluding ourselves in this manner. It is not any "debt ceiling" that protects us in any way, but rather eliminating the overspending, pork, graft and patronage corruption about which
We the People never speak up. Eliminating the "debt ceiling" would be the best "red pill" wake-up call for
We the People, along with allowing the Federal government to shut down and to see just how well we get along without it.
In short, yes, eliminate the illusory "debt ceiling" and, more importantly, eliminate the overspending, rather than permit the continued overspending under the illusory protection of some contrivance intended to fool us.
The other part of what Donald Trump is trying to explain is that as long as
We the People allow ourselves mentally to believe that the contrived "debt ceiling" is somehow affording us some sort of protection, Congress will be able to thwart the bureaucratic protections against such tyranny as intended by the founders, by using the "debt ceiling" as a cudgel by whomever happens to be in power at the moment to compel the forces that would impose fiscal responsibility to instead accede to calls for increased overspending. Minority concerns can be batted to the side by simple appeals to a fearful
We the People who will panic at any and all "threats" to the "debt ceiling." Trump is trying to free us all from the psychological warfare and manipulation by urging us all individually to dispel the illusion in our own minds.
Yes, eliminate the debt ceiling today. Eliminate the overspending an hour later.
