Erick Erickson's Wife Christy Has Stage Four Lung Cancer

Erick Erickson is a big time extremely right wing radio host, so will never read this, but I recently read a news story about his wife's stage four lung cancer, someone said that it was my wife, and I realized we had not given our condolences. Somewhere along the line we have lost our humanity. I do not agree with Erickson on some issues(last of the politics), but it is important to stress that no one wanted this for Christy Erickson.

Christy Erickson is 50 years old. She has two teenage children. She has been married to her husband for 23 years. This is their only marriage. This is just the worst news for a family. She is not replaceable. It all hits me because of how similar it is to my family.

I wish her as long of a life as possible; she is doing the right thing in living her life to the fullest. She is an important human being, deserving of credit for creating love in the world.

Eirk is pissed off that Trump cut off COVID vaccine supplies to drug stores, since his wife's compromised health makes her more susceptible to a severe case of the virus

The months of delay will potentially hurt, or kill his wife. The vaccine is coming out now, so hopefully she will get it. While technically she does not have the conditions that would allow her to get it, they have the money and social status that will have a doctor willing to lie for them. And obviously they have the money to buy the vaccine outright.

This is just one more problem for people overwhelmed with problems. For her cancer, there is no stage 5. There is no chance of going back to stage 3. This will progress to the next stage, which does not have a number.

We are all going to progress to the stage that does not have a number. It is important to live a good life until then: enjoy ourselves, build something, live as long as we can, give and take love, etc. She is a role model to the rest of us in doing all that.

The problem with Erik Erickson is that he is genetically predisposed for voting Republican, even if he withheld his vote from Trump. It was the Republican senators Erickson voted for or supported who approved RFK Jr. as HHS secretary. And every Republican legislator Erickson voted for is going to let RFK and Trump do whatever they want.

It reminds me of the story of the Jew that voted for Hitler, because while he did not agree with Hitler on the Holocaust, he did on much of the rest of the issues.

Jews always did best in white societies too.

it's our general high level of in group morality.

and the best of us know externalizing the ingroup is best, when the message is peace and love.

6 million Jews died in the Holocaust. That works out to two thirds of the Jews who lived in Europe at the time. Other than the Gypsies, that is the worst percent dead in WWII. It was not the best.

Another million or so Jews died in the Pogroms of the late 19th, early 20th century. Going back from then there were repeated massacres of Jews.

The NAZI's killed a same or greater number of Not Jews.
