I had a great debate with someone about why the gay people shouldn't be allowed to get married the legal way. It wasn't religious I was surprised. It is due to getting the benefits from the government that are already wasted on already married people.
I would counter that with the fact that it costs MORE to divorce and we both know there are millions of divorced parents.
Hmmmm....if they are attracted to both, equally, that's not a choice. There's a "dark matter" that drives human sexuality desires. IMO, something along the pathway for standard sexual reproduction on the Earth. All fauna and insect life reproduction requires the female fertilization of a male. In an environment of constant life vs death, the traits that survive will follow a pattern.
The point being, the traits are passed along. In such a species, that can only be done one way. After that, who gives shit what two consenting adults...or more, want to do in the privacy of their own little American castles?

Inborn, but not necessarily fully genetic. It's like we're born with a lot of switches. As we develop some of those switches are flipped on, some not depending upon external circumstances beyond the control of the individual. Not fully genetic, but not choice either. Developmental has a part too.
BTW, do you think there is a cross-section of homosexual personalities or a grouping?

As bold as those words were for his time, I have no doubt that Jefferson and Franklin would agree that unalienable rights applied to all human beings.
