Evolution vs Creationism---Is there a God? Or is it all just random chance?

The Theory of Natural Selection was a theory of science, until it was falsified by a thought experiment. The Theory of Evolution is not falsifiable. There is no way to test it except by going back in time to see what actually happened.

Nope. No test is available for the Theory of Evolution.

Wrong on all counts .

The theory of evolution is falsifiable by genetics, mutations, contolled environmental setting, and the fossil record.

Every attempt to falsify evolution by natural selection through rigorous scientific testing has utterly failed.

The day we find chimpanzee fossils in Precambrian rock strata is the day we will have to throw out the theory of evolution by natural selection, and work on developing a new theory

Even though conservatives cringe at being called the anti-science, anti-knowledge, anti-evolution, climate denier party - and they undoubtedly harbor some shame and humiliation at the vast number of science-denying ignoramuses in their party - it is threads like this that validate the Republican Party as a party of ignorance.

its what happens when a party clings to ancient myths designed to sooth people who had NO WAY to figure out what reality was runs up against a time when we now have the tools designed to figure out what reality is

its called denial

denying new information because your brain is SET and too tired to incorporate incoming information

the Ole

don't bother me with the facts Ive already made up my mind

just like this Impeachment trial

I'm definitely a creationist at heart. I believe that God is real, Jesus is the son of God. Humans are chained to a lie because that is the desire of our enemy. Satan has made his kingdom here on earth and has great influence over the human race. As evidenced in the garden of Eden, he caused the fall of humanity, the turn away from God and this is how "death" entered into our vocabulary.

In reference to evolution, its still just a theory. For one there are no transition forms in the fossil record. For another 99% of all mutations are bad. Evolution is a mathematical impossibility when you sit down and look at the odds.

For example, if evolution were true, what is the deal with all the fraudulent fossils? Surely there would be no need to "fake" the missing links between species, yet this seems to be a re-occurring theme that evolutionists cannot escape from.

Please share you views on this, I am eager to gain in insight and knowledge and that is exactly what this thread is about. I don't want this to turn into a political pissing match. Let's not mock or demean, simply list your argument and your evidence and debate your points as you see fit.

Good luck and God speed!

The Theory of Evolution is an old one. The Theory of Abiogenesis is fairly old also. Almost as old as the Theory of Creation. None of it is science. I happen to believe in the Theory of Creation, just as you do.
Yup, same here. I am a Theory of Creation believer as well.

Evolution by natural selection is on a par with general relativity and quantum mechanics as the most tested, most validated, and most broadly accepted scientific theories in the history of science. They are so thoroughly validated by testing that collectively they have attained the status of scientific tenets.
The Theory of Natural Selection has been falsified. It is no longer a theory of science.

Wrong on all counts .
No, his assertion was quite right.

The theory of evolution is falsifiable by genetics, mutations, contolled environmental setting, and the fossil record.
No it isn't. There is no accessible way to falsify the Theory of Evolution. We cannot use a time machine to see what actually happened at that time. Do species evolve? Of course they do. Did present life result from mutations of past and more primitive life? Who knows... We can't go back in time to see if that's actually the case or not...

Every attempt to falsify evolution by natural selection through rigorous scientific testing has utterly failed.
The Theory of Natural Selection has been falsified already. The Theory of Evolution, however, is a religion and is not falsifiable.

The day we find chimpanzee fossils in Precambrian rock strata is the day we will have to throw out the theory of evolution by natural selection, and work on developing a new theory
Nope. Evolution cannot be falsified. Natural Selection has already been falsified.

Even though conservatives cringe at being called the anti-science, anti-knowledge, anti-evolution, climate denier party -
Nah. The anti-science, anti-knowledge, paradoxically anti-religion, logic denying liberals have made those claims so often that it's simply "par-for-the-course" at this point.

and they undoubtedly harbor some shame and humiliation at the vast number of science-denying ignoramuses in their party -
No shame. No humiliation. Inversion Fallacy.

it is threads like this that validate the Republican Party as a party of ignorance.
Why are you so bigoted?

I've often wondered if "Adam and Eve" bore any semblance to who we are now!!

Whenever Republican wants to deny their party is chock full of Science Deniers and ignoramuses, refer to this thread as exhibit A of just how wrong your howls of denial are.

Wrong on all counts .
Since you are conflating two separate theories as a single theory, I will answer them separately.
The theory of evolution is falsifiable by genetics,
Nope. Supporting evidence is not used in science. That is not a test of the null hypothesis. NOTHING says that evolution actually took place. All genetics show is an ability for an organism to inherent the traits of its parent organism(s).
mutations,
Again, supporting evidence is not used in science. It is only used in religions.
contolled environmental setting,
Man made. Not part of evolution.
and the fossil record.
The only record of fossils is that they exist. All they show is that an organism once lived. That's all. Common structures and common traits could be explained either by evolution or by design. Again, supporting evidence is not used in science.
Every attempt to falsify evolution by natural selection through rigorous scientific testing has utterly failed.
WRONG. For natural selection to occur, you must first have a variety to select from. However, if natural selection is True, the tendency is to reduce variety, not increase it. Therefore, the Theory of Natural Selection is a paradox. The Theory of Evolution, however, still exists. It is not falsifiable. It may be True, or it may be False. We simply cannot test it.
The day we find chimpanzee fossils in Precambrian rock strata is the day we will have to throw out the theory of evolution by natural selection, and work on developing a new theory
That wouldn't throw out the Theory of Evolution at all. It is not a test of the null hypothesis of the Theory of Evolution. It is only a test of a particular theory of the lineage of fossils. There are already conflicting lineages of fossils, depending on whether you use cellular comparisons or structural comparisons.

The Theory of Evolution simply states that life today evolved from more primitive life in the past. NOTHING about any of your tests actually tests the null hypothesis of that theory. They all test some other theory. The only way to test it is to go back and see what actually happened. That test is not available.

The Theory of Evolution may be True, or it may be False. We simply do not know, nor can we know.

I deny no theory of science. The Theory of Evolution is not a theory of science.

The view on Evolution by obscure poster gfm7175:

The Theory of Natural Selection has been falsified already.

The Theory of Evolution, however, is a religion and is not falsifiable.

The Theory of Natural Selection has been falsified. It is no longer a theory of science!

The view on Evolution from the scientific experts at the prestigious U.S. National Academies of Sciences:

Is Evolution a Theory or a Fact?
It is both. But that answer requires looking more deeply at the meanings of the words "theory" and "fact."

"The theory of evolution is supported by so many observations and confirming experiments that scientists are confident that the basic components of the theory will not be overturned by new evidence."

In everyday usage, "theory" often refers to a hunch or a speculation. When people say, "I have a theory about why that happened," they are often drawing a conclusion based on fragmentary or inconclusive evidence.

The formal scientific definition of theory is quite different from the everyday meaning of the word. It refers to a comprehensive explanation of some aspect of nature that is supported by a vast body of evidence.

Many scientific theories are so well-established that no new evidence is likely to alter them substantially. For example, no new evidence will demonstrate that the Earth does not orbit around the sun (heliocentric theory), or that living things are not made of cells (cell theory), that matter is not composed of atoms, or that the surface of the Earth is not divided into solid plates that have moved over geological timescales (the theory of plate tectonics). Like these other foundational scientific theories, the theory of evolution is supported by so many observations and confirming experiments that scientists are confident that the basic components of the theory will not be overturned by new evidence. However, like all scientific theories, the theory of evolution is subject to continuing refinement as new areas of science emerge or as new technologies enable observations and experiments that were not possible previously.
