Exit strategy?

Is there one?

4,487 + 4 in Iran
There is an exit strategy, but it's a fantasy. Trump believes the Iranians will rise up and take over their government then make Trump a hero and the world's greatest peacemaker. He's blinding himself to the fact that authoritarian regimes do not collapse quietly. Especially when they've had almost 50 years to prepare.

So it was ok to bomb Syria and Yemen because they were weak but Iran isn't?

Or is it that they were truly Evil, but Iran isn't? Did we have an exit strategy when we dropped bombs from high above before?

This is a bipartisan American habit: presidents keep using force without real declarations of war, and each side suddenly rediscovers constitutional limits only when the other party is in charge.

The military-industrial complex is real.

So is the political hypocrisy that protects it.

From everything I can tell - I don't think there is a concrete exit strategy.

I've heard several different goals, but "regime change" seems to be near the top of the list. On that front, all I have heard is the "hope" that the Iranian people will take matters into their own hands and create a new government.

If that's the case - it's pretty naive. It could happen, but it's not a plan to think it will.

The Constitution is well over.
