I am aware of what Liddy said and why he said it. That does not change the fact that your assertion that " he would be cheered on and hailed as a hero by many on the right including most of talk radio." That is complete bullshit. Period.

Yes, I think Gates displays racist behavior for automatically assuming the white cop was racially profiling him. I think the reason he went from 'demanding an apology' to 'let's just move on from this' is that he found out the cop had an open mike during their conversation that was recorded. That said, I still want to hear that entire conversation.
