FAA has Newark Airport a mess!

The FAA, like many parts of government, needs more funding. We have a country that is collapsing from lack of funding.

What is trump's solution? Fire many more FAA workers.
What was Biden's solution? Let them eat Floppies... DUrrrrrr...

LOL. He didn't start this fire, he was never in government when 3.5" floppies were a thing...

As I noted, all those Presidents in between did nothing at all but ignore the issue, now that there's a problem from their lack of foresight... suddenly it is the fault of the guy holding the hot potato they've been tossing around since 1987.

I get your wish to make this a Trump thing... but Dayum... Floppy discs... They probably have dot matrix printers and thing fax machines are the SHIZMET!

Half their job is probably looking out the window because the radar is probably from 1945...

Biden did support some increase in funding, but not enough. Sadly, he fetishized cuts to the budget as do many modern politicians. That being said, he was nowhere near as bad as many of them.

Much of he technology is from the 1950's. It is a disgrace what has happened to America.

Do you think trump will turn it around and increase funding? :attaboy2:

Biden kept those 3.5" floppies... Good job. He never suggested that anyone do anything to maintain the systems.. You are just taking the automatic increases that government entities got under an uninterested Federal government and pretending it was a "plan" from Biden's Brain (the Doctoriest of all Doctors and the World's smartest Druggie).

I do think that modernizing will be something that will happen, because that zit got popped.

Shoot, DOGE already has improved systems in several government entities.. Efficiency isn't always closing contracts, sometimes it is modernizing technology.

But... But what about racist highways?
So much for you being mr" history"

Hwys were built cutting off Black neighborhoods
highway construction, particularly during the mid-20th century, was often planned and executed in ways that intentionally or unintentionally harmed Black communities. This included cutting through existing Black neighborhoods, displacing residents, and disrupting the fabric of thriving communities.

Prove that this was intentional in the design. Just because some radical Leftist claims this doesn't make it true.

Do you have any concept of just how many towns and cities were effectively bypassed and often wiped out entirely by the construction of the US interstate system, no racism involved?

Has it? Which ones in particular? Is having fewer people modernizing the government really improving the systems?

The FAA is close to collapse because of doge.
Here's one that made me laugh: https://www.reuters.com/business/wo...-us-job-cuts-even-musk-steps-back-2025-05-08/

DOGE has conducted software audits in some agencies, identifying inefficiencies. For example, at the Social Security Administration (SSA), an audit revealed redundant survey tools costing $118K–$1.8M annually, 10,000 unused UI Path licenses, and 9,040 unused Tableau licenses. Fixes were reportedly in progress.

At the General Services Administration (GSA), DOGE identified 37,000 WinZip licenses and 19,000 training software subscriptions for 13,000 employees, many of which were idle. These findings suggest efforts to streamline software usage, potentially improving system efficiency by eliminating waste.

DOGE leadership, including Vivek Ramaswamy, has highlighted modernization as a path for cost savings, emphasizing updating outdated software and technology infrastructure. Ramaswamy noted that modernizing the “rails on which the federal government’s information flows” could yield bipartisan efficiency gains.

There are other examples, but that honestly is enough... Any updates will increase efficiencies and as tech ages it costs more to maintain... Well, it was in the story I linked above, you can read it.

Do you know that President Musk slashed the FAA and other airport personnel? That makes the orange one directly at fault. This is not business as usual. The airports have gotten more screrwed up since Trump/Musk won.

In other words, doge claims they found something, and claim that one day they will fix it...

And suddenly a lot of people find their licenses turned off, and it takes weeks to get back to work.

None of that has anything to do with modernizing technology.

Translation from liberal desperation to English: "Out of 30 sentences that prove I was talking out my butt, I found one that seems to lean in my direction by 'suggesting' that 'fixes are on the way' and I took that and ran with it seven miles, wheezing and ready to hit you with it, but by the time I got here it melted!"

Or we can talk about economic statistics, which have a budget that has been cut by 20% in real terms in the last 20 years. They are not counting online economics like they should, but do not have the budget to get better methods. This could cause the collapse of our economy.

What is trump/Musk's solution? 50% to 90% cuts. This is insane.

Weakness is leaking out of the grip on that water you have in your hands... Out of 30 sentences that showed that the department isn't only "cuts" you continue to repeat the talking points without regard to new (to you new) information.

There is no reason to speak with someone that refuses to download the new information into memory and takes sentences such as "updates are on the way" and pretends it means whatever you want it to mean. Seriously. Your entire argument on this subject is just watching See B.S. Nooz and pretending they don't make crap up.
