Did you see the video of our soldiers being attacked by what appeared to be civilians in cars? How about our enemy not wearing a uniform and mixing in with innocent civilians even hiding behind them. How about our fucking enemy using women and children to protect potential military targets. How about them butchering, beheading, and burning live us soldiers captured in combat. If I was a soldier that would likely make me more apt to lash out violently. It would make me more likely to suspect that civilian vehicle approaching my convoy or that child standing in the middle of the road. Those are facts. War is hell. My family has told me first hand stories about similar abuses in vietnam. My friend and mentor the same. Multiple iraq and Afghanistan veteran friends the same. I have been debating. I gave you the soldiers side of this debate. I gave you a perspective that often gets ignored AND never can be understood because only a soldier knows that level of fear, anxiety, and carnage. Bernie and Warren have the same problem with the working class, particularly unionized. They fought for their health care plans. They endured strikes without pay and they gave up higher salaries to get health care. And now Bernie and Warren want to come and cancel that out, take it away from them.

That's a huge problem.

If you knew union men,you would know they have far weaker and more personally expensive health plans. They know what direction healthcare is going, more cost, larger copays, more restrictions. If they could get universal healthcare and not worry about the constant rising costs, they would be pleased. Universal healthcare would benefit them too.
The political message that they will lose something is incorrect.
Insurance goes up in cost every year. They subtract benefits. And insurance is an adversarial relationship. They are fighting you to not cover what you paid for because insurance is a for-profit enterprise. They use rescission. They have doctors on staff whose function is to find some way, any way, to deny you services when you need them. Get seriously ill and you will be amazed how many hoops they will make you jump through. When you are at your weakest, you have to make endless phone calls and emails fighting to get procedures covered.
