Fake "genocide"; don't fall for the nonsense

The fact that the Oxford Union chose to censor the video of my speech says it all.

They set up a situation so aggressive and threatening that my colleagues and I had to organise security for ourselves (the union paid a tiny contribution of this cost).

They tried to cancel our speakers before the event.

They tried to derail and stop our speeches with abuse and interruption. They tried to kick us out during the event.

They tried to evict @MosabHasanYOSEF even as he addressed the room.

And now they've tried to hide what happened, in the video of my speech, by muting the sound and sticking to a wide shot.

That's why I am pleased to publish this full video, with the sound restored, and closer footage of some of the abuse.

This was a low point for the Oxford Union, which left Jewish people there feeling afraid and threatened. It was a dangerous challenge to truth, fairness, open discussion and debate. It seemed to me to have been planned that way.

The President of the Union has not apologised, or in fact even communicated with me at all since this sorry display. He barely spoke to me before or during it. I can only assume he was satisfied with how he carried out the entire ambush.

wow.

it's so brave to defend Israel!

what a hero of justice and compassion.

According to the UN's Genocide Convention, genocide involves acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group.

Key elements include killing members of the group, causing serious bodily or mental harm, deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about physical destruction, preventing births within the group, and forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Israel argues that its actions are defensive, aimed at Hamas, not the Palestinian population at large. They claim their military operations target combatants and that civilian casualties are unfortunate but not indicative of genocidal intent. Netanyahu and other officials have dismissed the genocide allegations, emphasizing Israel's right to self-defense. Israel contends that its actions are within the bounds of international humanitarian law, with efforts to minimize civilian harm, despite the complexities of urban warfare in densely populated areas like Gaza.

Some argue that the civilian casualty count is partly due to Hamas's tactics, such as embedding military targets within civilian areas, which complicates military responses and increases civilian risks.
