I looked at all the forums here and decided that this forum would be best for this subject. I was apparently banned from another forum yesterday, ostensibly because my account was a sock account. Only I don't do sock accounts, the charge is false. Since I've been banned, I couldn't even ask the Administration there what evidence they think they have that I was a sock. Fortunately, the main Admin there has an account here and I've sent them a message. Unfortunately, he hasn't logged in here since 2021, so I think it's quite possible he'll never see the message. I don't know anyone else who's also in his forum, so that may be as far as it goes. For now, I thought this thread could just be about if anyone else has been falsely charged of something in another forum and if anyone has ever been able to redress such false charges.

Numerous years ago, one of the shitty mods over there (RedAkston) falsely charged me of "multiple accounts" (resulting in a perma ban). He did that shortly after I called him out on some BS that he was pulling at the time (I forget exactly what it was about, but at the same time, I do remember one mod getting banned by the other mods after he publicly exposed some of the BS that the other mods were pulling, and I also remember most of the mods over there not even understanding and properly applying their own rules as they had them written down... the mods didn't like being called out on that either).
Anyway, right after I was calling RedAkston out for the above BS of his and his lackeys, he got mad and created a big spectacle in one of the threads that I was posting in, claiming that there was "a sock amongst us". He stirred up a bunch of drama about it during the next 24 hours. People were guessing as to who it was, and then the next day he banned me from the forum even though I've never once bothered with any sock accounts on any forum.
It's the perfect way for a mod to perma ban a forum user who gets under their skin because other forum users can only either trust or distrust that the mods are being honest about the "multiple accounts" claim. There's nothing on the forum itself for a typical forum user to reference and prove that the mod is lying about it.
That's how the DebatePolitics mods roll. It's muuuuuuch better over here than it is over there.
No, its not Debate Politics, its Political Hotwire, but Ive actually left Debate Politics of my own accord twice due to mods that I think were more biased then I could stand. The first time, I left for 9 years, this second time I think its been about 2 years.

Same thing happened to me on two separate forums. One was a forum I hadn't been on in years, and decided to revisit. I was on there fora couple of weeks, when I was suddenly banned as a sock.
Today I signed up at another forum, infested by many of the same libs as the other forum, and I was banned within hours for this reason. So, these left-wing echo chambers are not tolerating any dissent whatsoever.

Ahhh, okay. I've never heard of that one, but given your description of what happened to you, it sounds like the mods over there are likewise petty, power drunk, and otherwise operate very similarly to the mods of DebatePolitics.
This forum's mods are muuuuuuch better. Generally speaking, you're fine so long as you don't make sexual comments about minors (rule 12b) or dox other people (rule 1).
Yup, they're very biased over there, and they especially HATE any sort of criticism directed towards them.
I wonder if the reason they gave you is the reason they banned me. I -had- to use a VPN sometimes, as they simply wouldnt let me connect without one sometimes. I even brought this up with the head Admin. Ah well.

No, that's a bullshit excuse they are using to ban conservatives. VPNs are ubiquitous these days and many people use them for privacy concerns. It's not a valid reason to ban somebody as a sock. Especially somebody with thousands of posts from years ago, who was a regular poster like I was at political hotwire. No they're obviously run by TDS addled leftist losers who don't tolerate anything conservative.
My theory is that it was the sub Admin, whose name I cant remember. I wouldnt be surprised if he was the one that made it impossible for me to connect without a VPN at times as well. I like to think that Djinn, the head Admin, doesnt know what his sub Admin is up to. Or maybe it was someone that wasnt even an Admin on the server, part of the covert ops that certain agencies do. Great start of a novel maybe, but I may never know what actually happened.
I dont mind bias at DP, I mind the lying, the lack of transparency, and what has all too often been outright abuse of the membership by leadership.
That Americans dont want to believe to the extent we have been betrayed so they make up excuses and rationalizations for it is a huge problem.

Years ago I posted there a lot. But the place is overrun with libs. Over the years I visit from time to time, but it never lasts, because they always find reasons to infract me for the mildest things. The libs run around there with their MAGAt this and MAGAt that, Nazi, fascist. And then I get infracted for telling somebody to grow up. So yeah, that place is a shithole. There are a few good people there, I used to even be able to get along with some of the libs. There's still a good lib there. But they just won't let me speak.

Definitely sounds DPish to me. I think there was one Admin that seemed alright, a newer one I think, but on the whole, yeah, pretty bad, at least when it comes to certain issues.
I definitely think the infractions I was getting there were BS. At one point, I got infracted for linking to a thread a fair amount. Only did it because people kept on bringing up the same points and the thread I was linking to countered their points.
