You can blab and blab on and on about what I may have said as far as Governor Wallace is concerned and the repuke party. I admitted that he didn't officially join the repukes but you need to admit that he tried to join and influence them but found more acceptance in the ultra rightwing American Independent Party. Somehow he had to out-southern strategy Nixon at the time. George Wallace was never a liberal. He was always considered a conservative and his known actions prove that out. I am thankful that he made deathbed apologies to those he hated and hurt the most. That is more than most other rightwingers would ever do or even consider.

Wallace didn't 'try' to join the GOP, its a free country and you can join anything you want to, no one can stop you from picking a political party.....
