In an August 13, 2020 Instagram interview with actor Matthew McConaughey, Fauci was asked if he had millions of dollars invested in the vaccines.

Fauci laughed and answered, “Matthew, no, I got zero! I am a government worker. I have a government salary.”

He didn’t mention his $417,608 salary was the largest in the entire federal government.

He qualifies for a full federal pension and social security under pre 1984 federal pension reform rules.

And things escalated Thursday after a report that a top aide to Cuomo told leading state Democratic lawmakers that the administration had withheld data on COVID-19 deaths at nursing homes to avoid federal scrutiny.

James said the state Department of Health underreported coronavirus deaths in nursing homes by as much as 50%, according to a new report, which revealed that as of Jan. 27, 2021, there were 5,597 confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 in nursing homes and an additional 2,783 presumed deaths. In assisted care facilities, there were 160 deaths and 52 presumed deaths.
