I have long ago stopped listening to Fauci the Quack. He can babble on all he likes about whatever the hell he wants and I'll pay no attention. So, his ramblings on Trump are as irrelevant as his medical advice.

Cept that we downplayed it, didnt study it, etc. remember that stuff is pennies on the dollar per quote.
Not to sound conspiratorial but the negative press on it was massive compared to the pro press on it and both were hardly scientific which led to us not using or really studying it.
you really cant say that, we have much better treatments now, but at the time, the doctors in the trenches preferred it to any other treatment at the time of this exchange.

The last thing we needed was for a panicked public to run out an scarf up all the PPE when medical workers didn't even have enough. We needed time to produce more.

Here is where we disagree. if you are willing to lie once, you are willing to lie twice and what you say becomes suspect. If these lies were needed, it should not have come from St. Fauci's mouth.
Again, I think he's fine, competent, but he is as much a political entity as a scientific one. a scientistific doctor would not lie about facts. That is the job found with politicians.
So if masks were effective when he said they were not, wouldnt it be a fair question to ask how many people did his false information kill? we seem to apply this "how many did xxxx kill" through their words and actions for covid, trump, cuomo come to mind. why is he held on an alter, without this standard?

I didn't vote for trump and trumps response was abhorrent. I would appreciate you not fall into the anti-intellectual trap of "disagree with me and your a trumpaloompa" nonsense usually reserved for the usual suscpects.
I call him st. fauci because the media and the left treat him like his word is the last say, the all knowing, unquestionable. I posit he has lied to us, contradicted himself and is as much a politician and now a celebrity as he is a doctor and scientist, on top of that, he's more of a beurocrat than anything else. Thank you, I have no problem with fauci other than if he's willing to lie to me, I have to verify his claims just like I have to do when anyone lies to me. A lot of what trump said was based on early fauci comments. that is a fact, later when they came out to be not true, it seemed trump got the blame often deservedly so for exxagerating etc, but fauci got a pass for some of his contradictions.
Its all good, but I think he is wrong on several aspect of corona and some of the data like the NY timeline bears this out.
