One of my favorite spots right now is Port St. Joe FL. The state park/campground is great. A group of us go for a 4 or 5 day weekend the first or second weekend in October. The bioluminescence is usually going pretty strong and the crowds have thinned.

and you can fish year round I imagine? Well you can do that too here in you don't mind freezing your ass off and rarely catching anything other than a cold.
