Those lives were lost because Tim Walz chose to direct police not to work crowd control, which is normally their part in what ICE would be doing. Had Tim actively worked with ICE nobody would be dead, and many of the "also caughts" that were caught up in the raids would still be here in the US. Instead Tim and Mayor Frey chose to actively work against ICE, to tell the cops not to help in any way... they chose to inflict this on their own citizens.

What happened
According to reporting from The Independent, MSN, and CBS Minnesota:- Four ICE officers ate lunch at El Tapatio, a family‑owned Mexican restaurant in Willmar, Minnesota, around 3 p.m.
- Hours later, around 8:30 p.m., witnesses saw ICE agents arrest three staff members after the restaurant had closed for the evening.
- Witnesses said the agents followed the workers after they left the restaurant and made the arrests near a school and church.
- CBS Minnesota confirmed that ICE had visited the restaurant for lunch earlier in the day and later detained the owners and a dishwasher.
ICE’s explanation
A DHS official told CBS Minnesota that agents were conducting surveillance on a specific target whose vehicle was seen at the business. They claimed the arrest operation was tied to that individual, not the restaurant as a whole.Bottom line
