Exactly. If you are working with rotating machinery like a drill press or lathe, you don't wear work gloves. The latex / nitrile ones are fine, but heavy work gloves are a no-no. The glove could get caught in the machine and it will pull your hand in and cause greater injury. Electricians (like me) are "dead front." No metal or conductive stuff anywhere exposed on the front of your body. That minimizes potential for accidental contact with a live circuit.
