First death from measles in a decade

To be fair, the cases I've read are about infants who are too young to be vaccinated yet. Of course, it is adults or unvaxed kids who are spreading the disease.

A few years ago an ultra religious group in NY created a measles outbreak from lack of vaccination in the community.
Measles is an airborne virus. No adult nor unvaxed kid is the air.

“A Texas child who was not vaccinated has died of measles, a first for the US in a decade”

And what does Trump give us, RJK, another unqualified political appointee who denys the value of vaccines and who who tell America not to be concerned, “nothing unusual” happening here

Again, love to see a RedHat Clubber tell us what exactly is a Great America
Was it a Mexican in Texas

Argument from randU fallacy. Quoting made up numbers means nothing.

You are correct. The infants are not going out into the world spreading it, so the problem is they are not being surrounded by vaccinated people.

Illegal alien?

Stalinists are such dumbfucks.

Measles is treatable.
Hmmm...
“Unfortunately, like so many viruses, there aren’t any specific treatments for measles,” she said. “What we’re doing is providing supportive care, helping support the patients as they hopefully recover.”

Measles is treatable. Treat the symptoms, keep the patient hydrated, and increase vitamin A, and watch for complications that may develop, such as pneumonia.

Vaccination against it works. It vaccination does not prevent infection, it DOES effectively eliminate outward problems with it, including the inducement of serious problems like pneumonia.

As far as 'the spread of measles', it spreads every year. Meh.

Given that fact, we cannot always blame the parents of these infants unless they are delusional anti vaxxers.
